If you haven't played this game already and you're a fan of the Sonic franshise, it's a must-have.

I don't even know where to start.
You can play as Modern/Legacy Sonic and Classic Sonic, each include their own respective stages.
Act 1 of every stage is Classic Sonic, while Act 2 is Modern/Legacy Sonic. You play almost every stage in the main series. Yeah, even Crisis City, except this time you'll actually enjoy it.

Wanna play as more characters? Or even get more stages?
This game has an active modding community, and let me tell you, it's amazing.

Some of my favorite mods are:

-The Unleashed Project (Includes almost all of the Day stages from Sonic Unleashed)
-Sonic Unleashed Jason Griffith Voice (If you don't like the new voice actors, either get this one, or the one for Ryan Drummond. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Jaleel White voice mod)
-Sonic '06 playermodel (I like Sonic's style in that game, okay? I've always liked the idea of Sonic being in the real world)
-Silver Gameplay and playermodel (It includes his psychokinesis and ability to levitate)


If you're a Sonic fan, GET THIS GAME.
If you're not a huge fan of the series but are looking to get into it, this is a great game and worth your money. (From a gameplay perspective. If you expect a good story, check out Sonic Adventure 2.)

9/10 Even if you hate the series, pick this up while it's on sale. It's at least worth a try.

This game's pretty good!

Pros:
3 different characters
Long Story
Highly Replayable
Cool character designs
Fast paced (sorta)
The music is godlike

Cons:
Some of the writing is a little cheesy, as well as some of the voice acting.
The game is usually fast paced, which is good, but some of the platforming sections are tedious.
Some of the cutscenes made me cringe a little bit

The best Sonic game of all time.
So you were wondering which game you should get? IT'S THIS ONE.
Trust me. You'll be playing this game for hours on end.
Pros:
-Epic storyline: Play as Hero or Dark as you choose to save the world, or conquer it!
-New characters: Shadow and Rouge are introduced as playable characters, and now you can also be Dr. Eggman!
-3 unique styles of gameplay: Speed levels, treasure hunting levels, and shooting levels. All awesome.
-Amazing music: Go on Google and look up "City Escape" or just play the first level in the Hero story.
-Chao garden: Raise your own creatures and train them for Races, and Karate if you decide to get the Battle Mode DLC.
-Replayability value: You can play this game over and over to find new things in the levels.

Cons:
-Poor Camera control: The camera sometimes has bad angles. Personally, I've never really been bothered by it since I've been playing this game since I was 4.
-Older graphics: The game is from 2001, so the graphics aren't great. However, you get used to them very quickly.
-Lip syncing issues: This game was made in Japan, so the lip syncing is for Japanese. However, you shouldn't really notice it too much.

Overall: I rate this game 9/10. You just don't see games like this anymore. A lot of the games you'll play nowadays are shooters...
This is one of the last good Sonic games. After Sonic '06 came out, most of the games are too easy, or terrible...(Sonic Boom)
You really will enjoy this game if you get it. And if you don't, you can always return it. But trust me, I doubt you'll want to return this masterpiece.

Over 100 hours and got so distracted I didn't even finish the first mission. 10/10.

The graphics for this game are really nice, but make sure you have a good PC to run it. The gameplay is fun and the story is great.
