So almost 30 hours in and im about to give up on this game. I really LOVED DL1, but this just isnt it. The first part of game was decent, jumping over roofs, killing everything in site, exploring... The story was somewhat OK. The new mechanics are all right, if i dont count bugs. Getting stucked or more like levitating on roof, falling through map, NPCs (howler) is screaming while cannot be hit nor does he move, clipping through objects. Once there was a NPC which was T-posing and his head was like a rollercoaster jumping from left to right, dying did not fix it, sleeping even restaring the game, but later i decided to return and it was magicly fixed. Yeah some bugs were funny but mostly it was pain to deal with them. I hate the new mechanic on repairing weapons, finally found good weapon but i cant upgrade it because i would lose chance to repair it later. DL1 had a great ragdoll, kicking zombies to spikes so i could create new masterpiece. Here? No you cant do that, maybe 1 of 10 will stay on spikes, but others will just get up, look at you and then die, or even better start floating 1m from spikes. And this isnt just with spikes, you kick someone from roof they will get up just to fall down to be dead for good. DL1 had a great horror atmosphere, nights were best part of it. DL2 incourages you to play at night, more points can go to dark zones(new loot zones) because there will be less zombies, but despite all of this its not scary at all. New "chase" mechanic is easy af and not even that funny/rewarding. Some challenges are great other not so much, like there is this one where you have to knock off arena 20 virals in 1 minute to get gold, but the game doesnt spawn that many, its just RNG i spent there almost a hour, but sometime i was there just standing and waiting 5-10 seconds with empty arena. Later you unlock city center. Big city with huge skyscrapers. Was really looking forward to it. Then they introduced me to glider mechanic, thats how you mostly move in city. I personally hate it. Story is bland, heck even some side quests were more entertaining than main story. I dont want to even finish this game, its just that boring for me. So if you liked DL1 just stick with it, its much more better, or atleast wait for a sale.

From a start a great game, but later ,oh jeeez , i like the idea of AI getting harder but , the loot is just so poor , as just the gameplay , gets really quickly repetative , new enemies but you are still stuck with low weapons... , common enemy , dogs teleporting inside of a house , or hitting you through wall , same goes for a several others NPCs, hard focused on boring looting system, most of time found myslelf "looting" the same buidlings with 0 reward , oh sometimes some ammo or the same useless weapon
