Wow, I bought this expecting my computer to not run well. Using a 2080 super and i7 9700k. This runs 100% better than the first game. I played the first one all the way through though because it was just that good. This one already feels great, runs great, and looks amazing. Great work guys.

When the game first released I would have recommended this game. After the update this feels like an early release piece of garbage. I was getting a solid 120 fps on my laptop with rtx 3060 and intel core I7 11800H but since the update I'm lucky to even get 50 fps. The railgun being clearly the best weapon for heavily armored enemies got nerfed. Strategems still take ages to rearm and it doesn't help that some planets have modifiers to target your stratemes and nerf them. The mechs are a nice addition and sort of help with the insane amount of armor you are going against. Currently would not recommend. Wait until they fix it. They will just say "it's your hardware causing poor performance" but it's obviously what they did in this most recent update.

Update: they added in another warbond and I have no idea how good the weapons are but you have to buy it with 1000 supercredits (that you earn slowly or pay $10). It feel like my weapons are even weaker than before. The bots are armored well and your shots don't feel rewarding. The bugs are more manageable but the hunters are still a massive pain in the butt.

Update 7/8/24: Still meh. The game is a laggy mess. 1 out every 4 matches gets bugged and become unplayable or unbeatable.

Update 7/31/24: I only play to have a good time with friends but dang this game tries it's hardest to run like crap with tons of bugs.

Update 10/7/24: They buffed a lot it seems but the server issues like getting kicked mid fight or right as you are about to extract happen A LOT. It's frustrating as hell.

Update 10/30/24: Another update. Guess what no change,

Update 12/22/24: Another update. Game still runs like crap. Combine that with the awful aiming system designed to make your accuracy near 0% and you have a great concoction for no fun.

The political aspect of the game really brings the whole experience down. Diplomacy itself is pretty much nonexistent. Just hope you can hold out as long as possible until the entire world decides you need to be eradicated. I love the combat although in campaign the research takes forever to get any good units.

Incredible game. There is a lot of thought put in to it. I have spent a majority of my time in the cities. They are massive and every inch or corner seems to have thought put in to making each space feel lived in. It isn't terribly optimized and if you want greater than 60 fps inside of cities you might be out of luck with their recommended hardware specs. Make sure to download the DLSS mod from nexus.

Wait until the update on the 15th and we shall see. Lag makes this unplayable on PC.
