So my initial review on this game was positive, however the blatant lack of care for the player base and obvious attempt to move quickly on to other projects in the "larger battlefield universe" leaves nothing but a sour taste in my mouth. I'm tired of this game after 80 hours, an astronomically low number compared to other titles in the series. Oh and the live service seasonal content stuff needs to die, it's frankly sickening the approach that is being taken to a full price triple A title.

"Please remember to be polite and follow the Rules and Guidelines." Sorry Valve but you should ehh... You should look away.


Dear Rockstar Studios, I know you say this wasn't your fault but...

Nah, nah ♥♥♥♥ you guys. You pinned the blame on another company, this wasn't an action Take Two just decided on independently. You can't just sit back and raise your hands like "Wasn't us". Fannies.

The online is trash - that much is obvious - and even though you "apologised" it doesn't change the fact you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tried to squeeze more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money out of us.

Oh and R.I.P Liberty City mod.

Your idea of fixing things is this - Let's ♥♥♥♥ it, abuse it and kill it stone dead.
Then resurrect it so we can ♥♥♥♥ it again.
And again.
We'll make profit off of it anyway.

Okay, so after my original playthrough I finally managed to get over the 'Simon Amstell' initial shock.

I'm prepared to look at this game in full now. THIS WILL SPOIL THE BIG SURPRISE ABOUT THE GAME BY THE WAY!


TL;DR - Great comedy story with great narrator. Play it.

Here's the facts before the opinion.

Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist is a game by Crows Crows Crows, led by William Pugh (The Stanley Parable's main man). This little fact alone should tip you off that this game is ANYTHING but a game about a heist. It's a linear narrative-driven game in which the big joke is the fact that the developers never coded this game, they simply orchestrate a live version to one player at a time. It takes you through the backstage and lets you orchestrate the game for another player that is on at the moment, guided by the adorably amusing Simon Amstell's disembodied voice.

The game from a 'gameplay' standpoint is non-existent. I don't personally consider it to be a game, more of an "Interactive comedy of sorts". The closest this gets to a game is the button pressing, and let's be honest, we love button pressing.

Simon Amstell's voice for this is absolutely perfect. When you ♥♥♥♥ up he sounds geniunely upset. And when you do as told he sounds grateful. Here's a tip, don't do what he says, he's cute AF when he sounds upset.

Lastly, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ achievements. Oh they got me so good. One is granted for "Stealing your first five francs". This consists of small cartoon-ish coins sitting in corners of the backstage area of the game. All the achievements point towards you actually playing the heist. THIS NEVER HAPPENS!

Basically, play this game for the love of god.

It takes you away for the hectic likes of cod or bf and makes you think, tactically (=
