Read below to find out more information on how I got scammed.


I was basically trading with someone and they said to go on his Teamspeak server as it would be easier to communicate. Me being very young at that age proceeded to join and when I joined the server, a notification to update Teamspeak popped up. The notification read something along the lines of "Please update Teamspeak as this server is using the latest update".

The notification looked extremely real and official, so I clicked 'Update' and it basically downloaded a 'Keylogger' and some 'Malware on my PC. I think I was about 12 years old at this time and so I had little to no idea about protection against hacking etc. Once the update had downloaded, it logged me out of my Steam account and so I didn't really suspect anything at first, I just logged back into Steam and that's when the hacker managed to get my password to my account and log in. He changed the password and quickly traded all the items to another account, I was panicking and as I mentioned I was very young and so I didn't know anything.

I later managed to regain access to my account and went on to change everything, I contacted Steam Support and they managed to return some of the items I had proof off. I continued playing with the account as usual and out of nowhere, I get VAC Banned. Due to me never hacking before or even knowing how to, I realized that the guy had used the account and hacked on it.

Due to this, I basically got all my skins locked onto that account and I even contacted Steam Support but they just said that it was my responsibility... bla bla bla... and that they couldn't do anything about it, I mean the guy who scammed me is still not banned to this day.
