2025 game of the year

I've just finished my first playthrough and I've been left absolutely speechless. This game has some of the best character writing I've ever had the joy to experience, and this will definitely be a story that will stick with me for a long time. I know that the story of this game was controversial, but I highly encourage you to do your best to give this game a try and go in with an open mind. When I did this I found a beautiful story that explores trauma and guilt in a way I have never seen before in a video game.

The port is also much better than part I, I ran into some minor issues but nothing that ruined my enjoyment of the game.

Runs fantastically for me at launch and looks great.

English voice acting is not good but the Japanese (immersive mode) dub seems very solid.

fun gameplay loop, much closer to an Origins/Odyssey than a Valhalla

good game, probably best to wait for a sale with DLCs though just because it will definitely happen once those are all out.

A pvp FPS that stands alone in the genre for rewarding both creativity and teamplay, that allows for weird, off-meta strats to really be leaned into as long as your team is on the same page. Amazing visuals and movement, with really fun cosmetics.

My only gripe is that playing solo is not nearly as fun as playing in a full team.

this game was awesome because not only was the tower full of cats, there were also cats outside it as well.

A very well done plot that takes obvious inspiration from The Truman Show without treading on things that the film touched on. Lots of really cool foreshadowing as well as some hidden secrets that kept me interested the whole way through.

Only thing that really irked me was that some of the platforming/running sections felt a little bit trial and error, and some of the puzzles were a bit obtuse.
