Over the past year of Battlerite's existance, little to no positive improvements have been made. The game is as shallow as it was by release, with the exeption of new champions, whom are incredibly bland and unoriginal. The only part of the game somewhat enjoyable is the 3v3 mode with a premade team, and even then, prepare to sit in queue for 20 minutes to get a 10 minute game.

Every time SLS decides to do some major changes to the game, it either backfires, or they cuck out and never go through with their ideas. Even when they try to add "fun" modes, they just end up implementing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbalanced gamemode no one can enjoy and still need to do it for a quest, which is now the final straw for this review.

I will continue to play Battlerite, since there's no game alive, close to the same concept. Sadly the game isn't near as enjoyable as it could be, and still needs many core changes to be an esport (which Stunlock Studios is aiming for).

If you want to pick up the game, go for it. It's enjoyable when you're learning how to play, strifing to improve but when you reach your peak performance, you'll realise just how shallow the gameplay is.
