It's an incredibly fun game. I'm a solo player, and I having a blast. I offered to buy the game for a friend and play it with him. He said no. Then I caught him playing it with other people. I almost didn't give a try because of that. He's Canadian, so of course he'd do something like that. Anyhow, I didn't think I'd enjoy the game solo, and I think I might enjoy it more because I'm solo.

I am playing this again in 2025. It's still the game that captivated me back in 2016. I love almost everything about this game, just like I loved everything about Dishonored. There are so many different ways to play that on every playthrough, I seem to find a new way to do the same things, and there are different things to do. The only thing that really bothers me, and it's a small thing, is that I get so caught up in trying to find all the coins per level that I can sometimes forget to have fun. That says more about me than the game, so I won't really hold that against the game. That being said, I love Dishonored more than Thief and that says a whole lot.

It's very fun to play with friends. I didn't start playing the game until after the latest content update, and I can say for sure that I wouldn't have enjoyed the game nearly as much if I didn't have the option to play as a male goblin. I am playing with a group of friends and it's quite a lot of fun. I dislike how floaty the movement can be, especially with controller, and the fact that there's quite a lot of drift sometimes. Despite that one gripe, I still recommend the game and think you should you play it.

Everything withstanding, I wasn't going to buy this game. Several friends of mine ended up getting it, and that kind of forced my hand. I am really enjoying it. I have it running on medium settings and I do get the occasional slow down, probably a shader issue. I've been told that if I increase my shader cache, there's a chance it might fix that. I am running a Ryzen 5 5600, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 3070 Ti. I will be making some major upgrades soon and I will report again after that.

So far I am really enjoying the game. The movement looks like they took the best parts from the first and second game and combined them. It feels very weighty, unlike the second game and the parkour is just about right. The combat is about the same, but more like the second game than the first. The combat does feel more meticulous. I am playing co-op and having it save progress for both parties is another big deal for me. Overall, 8.5/10. I will update it as I go along.

I finished the campaign. The ending is a banger. 10/10. Perfection. It's probably the most satisfying ending to a game I've played since Red Dead Redemption 2 and/or The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine. Seriously, it might even top those. There are some tragedies along the way, but what great story doesn't have a few of those. Dying Light: The Beast ties together both Dying Light and Dying Light 2 in a superbly well written way and gives great hope for Dying Light 3.

I didn't play Grounded. The game just didn't look that interesting to me. I bought Grounded 2 because my gaming group was going to get it, and I wanted to play it with them. It's a very fun game. I love all the bugs, the combat, and the base building. It's extremely satisfying to see all my hard work pay off for myself and my teammates. That being, the game is extremely buggy. I won't hold that against the game too much, as it is early access. I can't wait to see how the game continues to evolve and improve.

Clair Obscur requires more skill than the usual games that I play. I am finding it to be very difficult. I am getting better at parries and dodges, but when I miss, it seems to be very punishing. That being said, I am enjoying the game very much. The characters, the plot, the music, and the visuals are amazing. The gameplay is solid, even if punishing at times. 9.5/10.
