Frictional has done it again. If you are a fan of The Dark Decent or SOMA. This has been another fantastic horror puzzler. If you haven't played any of Frictional's other titles, this is a fine place to start. Its technically a sequel to The Dark Decent, but there are only subtle call backs to the original game. You wont miss too much story by playing this.

This game might not be for everyone, there is a lot of story telling and cut scenes so if you are annoyed by that sort of thing then this wont be for you. There are a lot more of these than TDD or SOMA. This game is properly terrifying at times though. Lots and lots of jump scares, and moments of running for your life. There is no combat in these games. Your only defense against the monsters is your wit and skill at operating doors.

All in all, its a properly scary horror game filled with some relatively simple but fun puzzles to solve and some great call backs to the original. Absolutely worth the $30.

Hmm, nearly 5200 hours on steam, probably 4000 more from when XFire was a thing. Yeah, I think the game is pretty good.

Definitely to one of the better horror games this year.
The first story experience was fantastic, albeit quite short. The world is rich with personality and the gloom and art style are fantastic and perfectly creepy. There are several different endings to play through and I have started a second story attempting to check out some of the other experiences. So far, the game doesn't seem to let you wander from the core plot much. The different dialog and actions seem to just create different branches that overall lead to the same places. The characters in this game are all very unique and and fun to interact with in different ways though.

You'll definitely like this game if you love mystery horror. The game has a setting that is not unlike that of Amnesia The Dark Decent. The gameplay is also very similar. Although without the physics of Amnesia. The game plays a little more like Alien Isolation. There are a few skills and character customizations you make at the start of the game. Its interesting and it changes the story as well as what clues you find and how your character precieves the world. There are also several choice moments in the game. I would say its very similar to the same mechanic in "Until Dawn". Another plus is some of the puzzels. I hate how some games tend to walk you through the more difficult puzzels in order to tailor to more people. This game doesn't, there are a few genuinely difficult puzzels in this that took a bit of thinking. The game also gets many times harder if you dont spend the time to find some of the clues. Depending on you investigations there are often several paths through puzzels, some of these involve skills, or just the fact you might of found somthing during your investigation you didn't find the first time.

There are a few problems with Call of Cthulhu as well. First has to do with the engine. It feels very dated, and the animations are very lackluster for 2018. It wont bother you if you are used to older games, or games like amnesia. Although if you are expecting a very up to date, technical masterpiece, this game is not it. As far as what to expect, the characters and animations are very similar to the Source engine. In fact, the engine feels and looks more like the Source engine then it does Unreal. The second is that while the game seems replayable the game is super short. I was able to finish the story in about 8 hours, which is not a lot of content, especially for a game that costs $45. I'd say the lack of contnet is really the biggest pitfall to the game. However the content is particularly rich and enjoyable. Lastly, the level design, while very pretty and very eary looking are very linear. Some of the levels they try to give you the ability to walk around, however everything is set up in a pretty distinct path that you cant really get away from.

In the end, this game is full of twists and turns. The story has been very rich and cool. I just wish there was more of it. The characters in the game are all very unique and interesting. There seems to be several paths to go down and several different ways to build your character. Hopefully this means the game will be a fun one to play a few times. Just the games engine feels dated.

Prey is an awesome and innovative new title from Bethesda. Truly a must have.

I'll start with the few things that bothered me at first. Starting with the engine, Pray was built on the same engine as Doom. It shows as the graphics and sounds are a little lack luster in my opinion. The engine plays very smooth and fluid but it's definitely suited more for consoles than the PC. The default controls we're a little odd to get used to at first. The story was a little predictable however very well done.

These issues are very minor in comparison to what makes this title so great though. First, I want to talk about mechanics. This game has some similar abilities to Bioshock, however they are a lot more customizable and some of them are really cool. These features and abilities allow you to really play the game how you want to, and none of the abilities really felt lack luster. The difficulty of the game is well rounded and provided me a good challenge. The weapons in the game are all pretty diverse and unique. There are really endless options to playing the game. As for the story, your decisions during the game influence what kind of ending you get. Although some of these decisions can make the ending a bit predictable. The ending which I feel like was supposed to be a grand epic plot twist was covered up a little because of how you are lead up to it and some characters/decisions you make can really spoil it for you. However it's still a great story, great ending, and it really builds suspense for a potential expansion/sequal.

Overall, the story took me 28 hours to complete which is a great amount of content. The game also offers a few unique achievements, and has a few special modes for replay ability.

I'd definitely recommend picking this up. It's worth the full price.

Easilly one of the best Total War games of all time.

Whether or not you are a Warhammer fan, you should try this out. It really is the perfect setting for this style of a 4X stratagy/RTS.

I'm not one of the most knowlegable people when it comes to Warhammer, however I have played other Total War games in the past. I was unsure about getting this at first. However I am really glad I chose to jump on it. This is the best Total War game in my opinion. Ive already played through and finished an Orc Campaign and working on Vampires.

If you like 4X Stratagy or RTSs for that matter, get this game. You wont regret it.

This game is awesome. Early access was done the way it was built for. It was amazingly stable, and with more and more great features being added every patch. I would have called it a full featured game even before it just now been made official.

This game is well worth the $.

One of the most fun games to play at a LAN, or with friends.
I wouldn't play it mush solo, but I is hilarious to play with a large group.
