Early Access Review
Loving it, game is engaging and rewarding. My character (elf M) is currently trying to find a wife (elf F), lol, harder than it was in real life.

A little rough in places, early access... so if this review helps the Dev get over the "humps" (lumpettes, gapeys, booties, teenies plus the rest) all the better, take my money :D

Loads of fun with a group of mates. Took a few goes round to get everyone used to what was going on, and we definetely failed more after many drinks. note. don't attempt bomb disposal while wasted.

If you like minecraft, factorio, infinnifactory, you'll like this too. Fairly mindless block bashing, slightly complex resource management, dumb mobs. Pretty too.

My biggest issue is not being able to see what is inside your storage hoppers when there is more than one item in there, they don't act like chests as in being able to open them and view what's inside, but more like stacks, where you can only tell how many items are in the stack and only see the top one.

Another is the spiderbot, which is supposed to defend your base, however it is a rubbish shot, and it spends its time getting in your way or damaging the terrain around and under your base making it difficult to move around. Need a way to switch it off or disable it.

EDIT: Recent update made the Spiderbot better. No weapons at the start, upgradeable weapons thereafter and they've apparently made it a much better shot with the ability to target up to 5 mobs simultaneously. It still leaves holes and loot all over the place though.

Early Access Review
This game is like an onion, layers on top of layers. 12 hours in and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface.

Starts off pretty simple, basic mining and smelting, progresses to simple automation, then who knows, you can go where you like with it, keep it simple and have fun killing bugs, or build a megabase that automates everything.

I feel the New Hope campaign could use a little work, seeing as it is basically an extended tutorial it's not very helpful, some people might prefer the 'here's a map, go do stuff' technique, but I would have prefered 'go do this, now do that because if you do that, then you can do this'

Worth watching some letsplays on You Tube to get a better idea of what the game can become.

The enemies feel like the bugs from Starship troopers, fairly mindless but powerful enmasse, and they get harder as pollution/deaths occur.

I can see this game sucking the life out of me for quite some time.

>>EARLY ACCESS REVIEW<<

I had been really looking forward to this game after seeing some of the videos, but the difficulty level is stupidly insane, there is no skill, no usable strategy, just random dice numbers and ridiculously damaging events.

I played about 6 times, losing every time before calling for a refund. This game isn't ready for release, even through early access.

I have no doubt that if the RNG gods smiled upon me it's possible, but that isn't a result of anything the player can do.

"It's early access" "it's not finished" blah blah flamers, I know, but if I wanted to watch a disaster simulator I can't affect, control or survive, I'd watch Eastenders. This game is simply not fun to play in its current state.

One of the best multiplayer games I've ever played. A game that redefined a genre, add a few mods and it's still brilliant today. Graphically and technologically not up to its successor Supreme Commander/Forged Alliance, but still worth a play. (And it's still better than that console travesty SupCom2)

Unfinished, buggy mess. Should never have been let out of early access. Suspect money grabbing to be the cause of this.
SP vs AI skirmishing is a waste of time, PvP is too random.

They tried to make it an esport, but forgot to make a decent game first.

Dev crapped out, "releasing" an unfinished game with poor mechanics and little to no replayability. Save your money. Stay away from Double Fine games.

Any developer who supports this paid mod travesty loses all my respect instantly.
From one of my favourite games of all time to "screw you bethesda/steam"

I've donated to mods in the past but I will never pay for them upfront. This will be the end of the modding community on steam.
