Although the game has some good aspects (optimisation, micro improvements etc), it fails to impress in most areas. The sound and graphics are poor, but if you can look past that you're still left with what feels like a lifeless cheap clone of a 9 year old game that tries too hard to 'improve' on details that didn't need improving. There's a clear lack of content throughout the game, not just from the maps, playable units and commanders, but even the UI feels empty, buggy and boring. Bugs that existed in COH2 are still present in this game, further highlighting Relics lack of attention to detail or care. After 10+ games in multiplayer, i'm yet to have any satisfying or exciting moments that COH2 brings every game.

This game needs another year of development minimum, but sadly they've ran the risk of destroying the franchise by rushing this mess out, clearly Relic do not value their customers. I fear they may even have the audacity to release in-game purchasable items before addressing many of these issues. If you're considering buying the game, i'd strongly advise waiting a year to see if the game has been developed or abandoned and at a much reduced price tag. The current price is laughable, but since i bought COH2 (a much better game at this point) for £2.99 and played 1000+ hours, i can live with forking out for this garbage. Hopefully I can be proven wrong in time.

Having played and enjoyed similar titles like hell let loose, I expected to find this game equally enjoyable. Unfortunately, comparing the two just highlights how much this game is lacking in refinement. Maps are nice and big, but lack detail and there's so little communication that the game feels more like one big free for all than a military simulation. Finding a good server and useful squad is practically impossible.

This game was great when i first invested my time and money into it, despite it's few performance issues they had a solid base game on which to further expand upon. The atmosphere within the game was the most appealing, with dark lighting and washed out colours adding to the horror/stealthy playstyle. Unfortunately, having gone back the game after the 1.0 update I can no longer recommend this game.

First of all I paid around £20 full price for this game which was in a much better state then than it is now. Although they have added a few updates since I bought the game, the only real addition is one map that is great, however there are still only 2 in the game. Additionally, bounty bosses are limited with only 3 in the game currently, making mission extremely repetitive.

Secondly and most disappointingly is the downgrade in visual graphics. This completely detracts from the games atmosphere to the point where it has stopped me playing the game completely. The graphics are fine for a standard fps game, however when the base focus of the game is to create fear and tension in the gameplay it's surprising how much the downgrade actually effects your playstyle. Maybe Worst of all with this new update they have increased the price of the game by almost double (£20 to £36). like what? one new map, a few character visuals and now the games worth double?

I would have recommended this game before 1.0 at maybe £30 max, but at £36 for it's current state is not worth at all.

Too many things wrong with it to be fun, unless you're playing casual with a friend.
