Let me start by saying I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan out there. I've seen all the movies, and Mandalorian, however I've never delved into any deep lore or watched any other side media. I also don't often write steam reviews.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed this game from start to finish. I played on the default difficulty setting, which is one above "Story Mode".

The story is very enjoyable, even for non-hardcore Star Wars fans, albeit somewhat predictable in places. This however doesn't detract from the fun.

The combat is great - initially you may feel like you can't quite get the timing on things right and even the most basic enemies pose a threat, but as time goes on you definitely begin to feel how fluid the combat is and get a grasp on how you can combine all your different Jedi powers and abilities.

There's also a ton of lore packed into the game - it's the first game in a long time where I've gone through and decided to get all the collectables and complete all the maps because there's a ton of interesting stuff to hear and read about.

Other than a few frame drops here and there, the game ran flawlessly for me on max settings at 60fps. This was on a 1060 6gb and a 3700X with 16gb RAM.

All in all, I would highly recommend this game to anyone who may or may not be a fan of Star Wars, and anyone who's interested in a game with fluid combat and the ability to mix and match tactics.

Let me start off by saying - I've been waiting to play this game for a long time, and the game itself when you get to play it is great. I'm finding the story very engaging, combat feels great once you get used to it, and there's plenty to do.

That said, I would not recommend purchasing this game until Guerilla address the performance issues that many people are facing.

Personally, I have not had any in-game performance issues such as stuttering or FPS drops whilst playing on High settings, however the game crashes for me every 20-30 minutes, or if I'm very lucky I'll get an hour of uninterrupted gameplay. I've never experienced a game crash as much as this game does.

I have tried every fix I can find online and on the community hub, including but not limited to:

-Disabling Steam Overlay
-Beta drivers
-rolling back drivers
-verifying windows and game file integrity
-closing down every application other than steam/Horizon
-Changing settings to favour max performance
-Disabling "bugged" in-game settings

The only one of the above fixes that had any impact was disabling Steam Overlay, which for a day made the crashes lower in frequency, however they're back to being very frequent again.

I want to be able to recommend this game, but in it's current state I'm sorry to say you'd be better saving your money.
