A game about creativity, exploration, and finding other players ships that spell out rude words.
It's a glorious time to be alive, is it not?

A good compromise if you want to play dwarf fortress but you don't want to take several months learning it.

A hint for getting the full enjoyment out of this game, start with automation to whatever degree makes you comfortable. But then, once you're used to how things are, start to take them off. In particular please make sure you atleast once try to play through the game with ship design automation OFF. It looks completely overwhelming at first but if you use the tabs at the top, you will find that they're alot simpler than impressions give. And only when you start to design your own ships will you realise the true depth to this game, and how insanely fun it is.

You can design your ships with whatever components you want. You can go with the standard beam weapons, simple and normal, but no fun. You can be space pirates and invest heavily in boarding technology and tractor beams, you can board other peoples ships and never have to invest a penny building your own ships. You can slap a bunch of gravitational field generators on your ships and send them in as suicide bombers while a flagship with a hyperjump inhibitor hangs around and prevents them from fleeing. You can create a conga line of fighter carriers that jump into the edge of a system, release their tiny drones of destruction, and then leave, restock and do it all again. Basically creating an infinite distraction and a wave of attrition that relentlessly harasses your enemies.

If you play as one of the bug races, you can have fire torpedos that burn through armor and also can boil atmospheres literally making a planet completely uninhabitable if you must. And that's not the only weapon that can destroy the quality of a planet if they don't play ball, in many fun different ways. If you play as the race with the big noggins, you can create holographic projections of your ships to confuse your enemies. And guess what, theres also SUPER WEAPONS in the game. Weapons that can only be used if you find the right planet to unlock the research, or you reverse engineer a unique destroyed ship found in an ancient ship graveyard. Theres a beam super weapon and super AoE weapon, and they are so powerful you will start wars preventing other people from getting their hands on it, provided you don't get your grubby hands all over them first. And yes they can destroy planets, you can make your own Death star.

And that's just the aggressive stuff, you can design your own space stations, making them as huge as you can and giving them extreme defence measures so the xeno scum never lay a tentacle on your superior races construction. Theres research stations, and resort bases, and mining bases, and star bases, and you can even make your own spying stations for watching your enemies (or your friends) movements. You can design a base to sit on a star, solar powered so no refueling required. And all you put on it is as MANY singularity field generators as you can fit, and shields. The result is what I can only describe as a grinder. The enemy will see this base, send their fleet in, and the area of effect damage will RENDER THEM DUST very rapidly until it uses up it's fuel reserves. You also design smaller privately owned ships such as passenger transport, goods transports, and mining ships, though these you have no control over.

Diplomacy is arguably a little light, you can form alliances, trade agreements, trade embargos, WAR, and one limited kind of subjugation, but thats it. Granted most other 4x games have about as much, but I expect more from this game that has incredible depth everywhere else. The research is very wide and short, I would advise researching only two weapon types at the start; a main and a support. And also maybe upgrade troops and fiighter carriers. And everything else, cast a wide net and try to snatch up techs that you might want first like shields and fusion reactors and stuff you think will help your economy.

In summary, if you can get past the inital overwhelming depth, this is the best space RTS, maybe even the best RTS, you will ever play

A less elegant version of Picross Touch but with microtransactions added.

Not going to give it a negative recommendation because the microtransactions weren't invasive as far as I played, aside from the difficulty being ramped awfully fast.

But if you want to play a far better, more elegantly designed, and also free version of picross, without any microtransaction silliness in it, I'd much rather recommend Picross Touch.

In many ways this gam is like a train, its prettier than other forms of automotion. But also its very repetetive, you're constantly finding it's broken, and sometimes it completely derails and crashes.

I don't recommend. Choo choo

Insane and fun

But waaaaay too short and nothing is really solved. If you want to pay 11 pounds to see the first act to a really good movie, and then end before the second or third act, then you will like this

I just wish someone had warned me

Really fun under-appreciated game! Buy if you like top down shooters. Its got a few problems even for an indie game, like for instance the classes aren't even close to balanced. I've played them all and techie class is OP by a considerable amount. And the psycho class is so boring compared to the others there doesn't seem much point in taking it.

People say the game is difficult but if you manage to build up a momentum and get alot of perks and upgrades, you can go a long time before you face any real challenge and the game can get boring. Atleast thats what I found on my third or fourth asset.

Overall its alot of fun. I'm fighting the final boss for the first time and I'm really enjoying the game so far. I recommend.
