The graphical and some writing issues of the game can be overlooked when you keep in mind that the studio no longer has the original developers working on this game. The story however and the way these characters talk to each other is just god-awful. I have played for 13 hours and I have yet to feel attached to any of these characters. I'll likely update my review the more I play.

EDIT @ 22 hours: Taash as a character is more than enough for me to keep this review as a firm NOT recommend. I do feel a bit better after playing the game for a bit longer and having time to play with the other companions. But Taash is just...... yuck.

This game is great with friends while also being a therapeutic time if you prefer solo (though could get a bit boring). I would recommend picking this game up only if you've got some friends to make the time worth it, otherwise you're welcome to do public games and make new ones. Deep Rock Galactic has emphasis on synergy and with the 4 dwarves strung with very unique abilities, you quickly learn to utilize each use for your adventures. This game deserves more recognition, as it's a great investment for you. Deep Rock Galactic has come a long way when I first started the game up when it was still Early Access, and I can confidently say it has not disappointed. The soundtrack is 10/10, the combat feels strong and the procedurally generated maps make for a different experience every time.

Rock and Stone, miners!

First time I booted this game up I remade my character 3 times (for that PERFECT character for me to get into for roleplay) and my first play session was for 7 hours. Yes, 7 HOURS. That speaks volumes for this game especially on the first boot up. This game is RICH in storytelling and lore. I played the city elf intro and that got me really invested in the game. After the intro too had me interested to know what happens next and that is a great feeling to have in a story. I even joke about it being better than Mass Effect (I'm kidding of course, I have yet to play the trilogy in full to have a real opinion). Pick the game up for the lore and storytelling, it is a great time.

My only concerns is the problem with the textures glitching at times and the crashes you might face while playing so SAVE OFTEN.

I am editing my review to STRESS ON SAVING AS FREQUENTLY AS POSSIBLE.

I often joke that this game is "Destiny but better" and it's a personal preference. Though similar, I find that the replay content with Remnants is far more engaging. The bosses are memorable and the upgrades you acquire makes for a fun experience in mix-matching your desired playstyle without stressing over constantly trying to find new gear to stay afloat.

The game is as others would have said, "dark souls with guns" and they'd have a point with that. However the gameplay always felt as if there was something missing. From playing its' DLC I haven't exactly been given good objectives notes, often feeling as if you're left up to exploration before either finally getting the point after extensive walking back and forth, or looking up a guide on the internet. The game's unclear objectives are definitely something that it has fault in. Playing with friends though is a blast, especially in the boss battles and harder content.

I recommend picking other more well-known games first, as this game is more of a mildly entertaining secondary.

A perfect recipe of horror and suspense with the added bonus of doing such with your friends. GTFO is a great game of coordination and tactics. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the dark and feeling as if their mind is out on their sleeves.

I admit it's been some time since I've played this game, but I'm always eager to pick it up again when my friends mention about it. Sometimes it can get a bit fustrating how easily the crowd of enemies can be spooked but honestly it's all part of the fun.

The game is constantly evolving with a great playe rbase behind it.

A game proudly living up to it's name, Dark Souls 3 is a great challenging game to play. I am a person who enjoys playing with friends instead of solo, and this game takes teamwork to multiple levels. From challenging boss fights to fist clenching mini duels with invaders, this game forces you to stay on your toes at all times except when you don't need to be on your toes. I also want to just mention, yes, this game does have some jumpscares (as someone who is easily spooked by them) and they will bite you on the ass. So fair warning.

Also as someone who does not appreciate the invaders, it took me way too long to understand that there are different covenants (basically specialized signets that change your gameplay style and interaction with other peoples' games at random) involving one that specializes in protecting you the player. I just really would have appreciated knowing that sooner. But I do take that as a fault on myself rather than the game.

I would highly recommend to play if you want to be challenged, or play with friends for a very good time and memory-making.

Ok, I'll try to write out as best as I can.
I play Red Dead Redemption 2 only for the online aspect. I've got a group of 3-5 people who all used to play this together and I don't really have an interest to tackle the regular storyline. I'm not saying I don't enjoy solo, but I solely picked this game up for the multiplayer aspect. I just wanted to establish this first because I'll mostly be speaking on behalf of Online. I also want to mention I have not played GTA V or it's online complimentary game.

Red Dead Online is very enjoyable with a group of friends. We constantly make cowboy jokes and love traveling together by horse. The expansive world makes for very active gameplay, and hunting was one my most favorite parts of the game. Quests aren't too difficult, especially with more people in tow, and may seem a bit repetitive after a while. There are difficulty modes though, so you can challenge yourself at any time. It's a simple yet enjoyable thing to do.
I suppose one of the caveats with this game is, by itself, with no further purchase of the Outlaw Pass and roles, you are stuck with a very limited/ non-progressional game. Now, this isn't entirely a bad thing if you prefer to stick with a very very loose and casual time, but as we all know and probably want, we want to make progress and enhance our character's level and abilities. It is possible to level up and gain new abilities to shoot bandits with, but for most part a lot of the really interesting things are behind a paywall.

At times the game may feel a bit janky or rigid. I can firmly say that there will be times where you will become fustrated with your character as they slide down a hill uncontrollably or not jump when you hit space and expect them to. But this is part of the game, the controls will be a bit wonky and if it helps, coming at it with a mindset similar to Monster Hunter: World movement mechanics can help a lot. There are, however, some bits of irritable movement mechanics that doesn't entirely seem justified to have. For instance, dropping or throwing the animal you are holding over the horse you wished to simply place your cargo upon. Or perhaps, wanting to pick up a freshly killed animal and completely overshooting your feet to allow for a smooth transition. The most that this problem arises is when you are attempting to steal supplies for Cripps and, being in the middle of a shootout and trying to pick up the bag, you would find yourself stumbling over said bag of supplies desperately trying to get the game to work with you so you don't get shot and killed. This problem may be just a subjective matter, but it really does cut into the fast-paced panic you would be feeling.

Overall, the game is very fun but quite limiting after a while. I find myself waiting for Cripps most of the time during my freetime because my friends have already stopped playing together. I would recommend to people if they are ok with buying the game then laying down more money for progression and further enhancements to their character. I know there are much much more for me to explore in the game, but this is my point-of-view at the moment with what I have.

While the story wasn't as good as Fallout 3's, I am in firm belief that this game is one is the best in the line of the Fallout series that Bethesda is doing, great graphics, open to mods, fantastic music selections. Definitely a good for solo playing.
