Alright, jokes aside! The Isle is very much a work in progress. There are bugs, and it can be frustrating at times, but it is steadily being updated and progressing at a rather quick pace compared to most Early Access games.

For a game with dinosaurs, it is the best at this moment in time. The models are great! While not all of them a realistic they cater to the fans of realism and fiction. If you want to be a feathered Rex you can! Soon you can be a scaled Rex (young, sub-adult and adult!)! The same with the eventual addition of Utahraptor. There will be a realistic feathered version and a Jurassic Parkish one. And it is also super fun to take a break from all the butt munching to relax (but not entirely) as one of the many herbivores!

There is not much to do other than PvP right now and because of this the balancing of dinos can seem, well, unbalanced. That is because, in the future, there will a progression system implemented. Where you will start off as the weakest creature of the playstyle you want. Carnivore or herbivore. Which is the base of your tree that branches off into many species.

To get the current super carnivores (Rex/Carno) or super herbivores (Puerta/Trike/Galli/ Shantu) each that is the best at its lifestyle will not be quick or easy. It does say on the store page this game will be hardcore. However, for now, they are all easy to access which means everyone, and their mom is playing as them. In the future, it will not be this way.

Lastly, there will be playable human and human-ish races. Survivors, Mercenaries, Tribals and Cannibals! Each will have their own playstyle. Survivors will, well, have to survive. Mercenaries will be more FPS. They will be able to tame some small dinosaurs, get jeeps and helicopters. Tribals will be the tamers and be able to tame nearly every dinosaur on the island, even player controlled dinos!

In the end, I think this game, with so much versatility, is easily worth the price. However, if you can't stand bugs, do not have the patience to wait for fixes, and take things too personally both in the game and in the discussion I would HIGHLY recommend you wait to buy until the game is finished.

I would also recommend not buying this game if you do not meet minimum requirements (obviously), and you are under the age of 18. While the game is not rated at the moment, it IS a mature game.
