This game is absolutely beautiful if you set it on all the highest settings. It's gameplay is simple yet stunning. I'd recommend this to all of my friends unless they have heart attacks when it comes to being jumpscared. Although there are no jumpscares in the game, I have often turned around and came face to face with a cannibal running up to me. Luckily they snoop you out and yell instead of simply attacking because I'd be dead 20 times over in that case. I'm going to post my strategy which is what has kept me alive so far. DO NOT READ below if you want to figure this out yourself!

Here's my strategy on how to survive your first week.
1) Collect everything in the plane. EVERYTHING. You need it all. Hit the luggage with your axe and get all the meds and junk inside. Super helpful. However, be quick because cannibals will show up soon!
2) Head to a cliff and set up camp. For the first night just get a fire going and a tent. Save immediately then sleep.
3) Day 2. SET UP WALLS via the custom wall menu. Set up a perimeter bordering yourself from the cannibals. When cutting down trees for their logs, you'll get sap which can be used to repair the walls cannibals attack. Super useful. While cutting down trees, attack any of those lizard things or deer that come near for easy food and armor.
4) Same as day two except now you are fortifying your walls. Double it up and rest assure they will never get to you.
5) Set up a small garden for blueberries (make a pouch via 2 rabbit skins) It will cover your thirst, energy, & food. Also get a rain collector. If you have two of them you will never be thirsty again.
6) Keep collecting! Get bigger and better bases! At this point you can start maxing out your stats or build a bigger base or whatever you want. However, if you make your base any bigger beyond this point, you will start getting Armsy and Legsy. (The big crazy mutant things) I would NOT recommend going into the caves until week 2. Other then my first attempt at this game, I've only been killed when entering the caves.

Tips & Tricks:
-When using a logsled, you can go up mountains and steep terrain if you hold shift and walk backwards. If I make my base somewhere underneath a large mountain, I use this method to head back up for supplies.
-If you crouch and don't have any light, you can walk through the caves without being spotted. I maxed out my stealth armor also so that might've helped.
-It is 10x easier to run away from the natives then sneak completely out of sight than it is to take them head on.
-Do NOT build a boat. It's faster to walk along the shore than it is to row. Trust me, it's as slow as those turtles in game.
-Have fun. If you die, don't get mad. You had a good run, now try to beat it!
