Pretty good I guess

It my be rough around the edges, but everything in this game just screams interesting, from the weapons to the environment and the story.
It may be copying Metroids homework, but it's changing enough to be one of the most engaging Metroidvania-experiences.

Bought it for cheap, and thats kinda the experience i got. It has some great moments and the girl has a long streched, but ultimately satisfying character-arc.
That being said, i can't get myself to recommend this game. It's a 3-4 hour ride on rails (as in, you can't make any choices), and even though it's so short, it didn't feel like the story advanced for most of my playtime.
That's bacause just under 3 hours is dedicatad to "setting up" the character of the robot-girl. Imagine asking Siri the same question for 4 hours straight and making a VN out of the answers you get.

Aviod the game and watch the anime instead.

Calling this product a game would be an overstatement.

There are no choices to speek of, so it's not even a Visual Novel.
Right from the get-go, Dead End Junction presents itself a digital dime novel.
And its easy to see why; It was build from the ground up to be a short, pulpy cowboy flick. But that doesn't mean it's bad, as i learned.
8 hours may seem on the short side for VN's, but because of it, DEJ has got really excellent pacing. There is always someting going on and no plotpoint is lingered on to long.
The characters are very well written, and although some are a bit trope-y, they play off each other superbly.
And finally, the world of DEJ is great. At the start it seems like your typical Wild-West World but it dosn't take long until this notion is abandoned for a much more interesting setting.

The only valid criticism i have is that the action is downplayed quite a lot. All fights are just one still frame and some sounds. There isn't even a description of the fight, its just *kling* *klung* [Fate to Black] and thats it.

All in all a very solid ga- digital dime novel thats best experienced over the course of a week in small chunks.

Looks Great, Reads Great, Plays Great. Do you like Ace Attorney and/or Visual Novels? Then you will love this Game.

Why do so many people complain about the DLC being too expensive for the offered Content? This Game is about Bank Heists, of course the Devs would try to steal your money as well.
Yea, ok, but why are your recommending the Game then? It's a great game, really! Not alone, though... Grab a friend, a colleague, or the homeless guy from across the street (should he own a PC), and get heisting.
Gunplay is really great, heist variety is there, and growing. Soundtrack is just plain Awesome, man. Cranck it up, i wanna see those helmets flyin'.
This is honestly the best cooptrative Shooter thats not about Zombies there is.
Period.

Ihr kennt das: Ihr seid der obligatirische Held im obligatorischen Rollenspiel. Da kommt es nicht selten vor, dass man sich beim Händler neue Ausrüstung kaufen muss; In Recettear spielt man selber den Händler! Wenn sich das auch nur im entferntesten witzig anhört, ist das euer Zeichen das Sparschwein zu schlachten... oder bis zum nächsten Sale zu warten... Aber auf jeden Fall um es auf die Wunschliste zu setzen!

Mit einer Spielzeit von ca. 5-6 Std. (nur Hauptspiel) nicht gerade das Längste, aber mit dem unglaublich hohen Wiederspielwert ein grandioses Spiel, das in meinen Augen mehr als jeden Cent wert ist! Denn das zerschnibbeln der Gegnermassen, die flüssigen Animationen, die Over-The-Top inszenierte Action, die glorreichen Bosse, die Musik und überhaupt das es Metal Gear ist machen MGR:R zu einem wunderbaren Leckerbissen für Zwischendurch, oder um sich die Zeit zwischen The Phantom Pain etwas zu vertreiben. Die Story ist nicht annähernd so tief und verzwickt wie ein Metal Gear Solid, aber sie hat auf jeden Fall das "gewisse Etwas", die tiefgründige Story wäre in so einem Schnätzelspiel sowieso fehl am Platz. Die zwei gratis DLC Missionen, die schon von Anfang drauf sind, aber erst nach beenden der Hauptstory spielbar sind, fügen mit jeweils ungefähr einer dreiviertel Std. Spielzeit etwas Abwechslung hinzu. Das wird dadurch gestärkt, das man zwei völlig andere Charactere neben Raiden (Protagonist) spielt, welche eine andere Spielweise und auch andere Attacken bieten. Alles in allem ein solides Packet, das durchaus zu empfehlen ist, ganz egal ob man Metal Gear Fan ist, oder nicht.
