I don't quite get how it's this addictive and rewarding, but it definitely is. Deserves all the praise it gets.

Yep it's working. That's about all it does.

Play it only if you finished Investigations 1 and 2 already.

Obtuse puzzles and lengthy backtracking.
The Neverhood came out in 1996, what's your excuse?
Not to mention the tragedy that is the soundtrack, especially compared to it's predecessor.

The most immersive game I've played in a long time.
If you're on the fence about buying it, stop reading reviews and buy it.
The less you know, the better. Don't get spoiled.

One tip that you should know though:
There's no upgrades. If you're stuck somewhere and wonder where you'll find the equipment needed - you already have everything you need on you. You just don't know how to use it the right way now.

Ignore my play time; I already fully played through the game when I got it on itch.io.

This game is extraordinary. I'd recommend everyone that likes innovative gameplay ideas to play it.
The way the game uses a card game and different modifiers to abstract a conversation is just genius. It changes the focus from what is being said to what the flow of the converstion is.
It's easy to imagine how a person ticks just from seeing what cards they use and how they use it; Without even taking into account what they say.

It's a game of consequences but also about moving on and not looking back.
A serious contender for game of the year for me - and it might be the same for you.

Great OST. The game has its issues, but the OST is by far the best part about it.

15 mins to get everything.
But that's not the reason for the thumbs down. The game is super opaque. I get that it's supposed to be a metaphor, but it overshoots its goal in my opinion and just left me confused.

This game is mundanity made emotional.
Beautiful and tragic at the same time, using gameplay to tell its story masterfully.
The definition of Quality over Quantity.

First of: No, you don't have to have played Touhou, neither for the Story (but it helps), nor for the difficulty.
Yea it's short but it has maybe one of the most interesting gameplay-loops I've played in a while, with a lot replayability. Slowing and stopping time work perfectly well and the way the enemies and Music react to your powers is just perfect.
