It's THE Gothic game we absolutely needed.

It was a good experience. I replayed Gothic 1 not long ago, and I think the teaser does preserve its brutal climate. I don't like the nameless hero's new character, I think the old one was better, didn't like the dialogues much either... but, exploration was good, I think the locations are a huge improvement to what we had had in the old one. I enjoyed it even though optimization is awful. I'm not sure how I feel about the combat, I think it's too slow for Gothic. It's not exactly bad but it's not "aggressive" enough. I didn't like the armours either, the old ones had some... uniqueness to them, these ones just look more like they based them on medieval. But, despite all the flaws, I could feel the Gothic spirit and that's what's the most important, if they worked on it, it could become a great game on its own, not needing to just live off Gothic's legacy.

The game is amazing. One of my favourite platformers of all time for sure. I love all three campaigns and I can't wait for the fourth one! I can recommend this game to every platformer fan.

Early Access Review
Initially this review was positive but now I just feel ripped off. Sure, there is a lot of new stuff, the new map looks awesome and I can see how much work wos put into it but I really depise their business practice. I bought the book, unlocked all the stuff at the time, and now they added more stuff to the same stories book which I already bought once and would have been able to unlock everything if I had bought the book at a later time... So yeah in the end I don't feel good about it.

If you want to introduce new stuff, just make a new bloody season and include it there, I'd gladly buy it but this? So I ought to pay 10€ for 4 new items? Not cool.

It's a nostalgia but a great game still. I had fun completing it and have almost done all the achievements. My favourite one was Kao the kangaroo 1 and I would love to see it on steam with achievements as well. I wouldn't mind Kao 3 either, it was enjoyable.

What convinced me to buy this game, was the original concept revolving about moving to the rhythm. I haven't expected much from this game at first, but it appeared to be an excellent choice. The controls are fairly simple, you move with the arrows. That doesn't mean the game isn't difficult though, it can prove extremely challenging, especially if you are planning to get all the achievements. The music is absolutely wonderful. The game also offers you the option to play with any music you like but honestly I never used it. I definitely recommend this game, for a small price you get a fantastic roguelike with potentially dozens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay. Must play for fans of this genre.
