Servers are worse than Destiny 2 on launch. With all the money Rockstar makes, you'd think they'd be able to afford better servers, but apparently not.

September 2022 - The launcher stays open and uses up at least 2GB of VRAM upon closure of the game, you have to manually go to your taskbar and close out of the r* launcher.

It has a serious RAM-leak that makes my usage go up by 50mb every minute. After hours of play, I found myself at 99% ram usage and I was pagefiling out the ass.

It also has framerate issues which aren't as apparent on my system, yet a friend with a 980ti was getting sub-30FPS.

The gameplay and the features that it offers are fine, but the horrendous performance issues hurt the overall game and makes me want to travel to Capcom's offices and forcibly rewrite their code for them. Seriously. Take some inspiration from Microsoft and 343i.

As of 7/24/2019: 78.0 hrs last two weeks / 375.7 hrs on record. I haven't played a game this much since Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod. I have just under 3400 hours in that game, from years ago.

A good friend of mine tried to get me into Warframe about a year ago in 2018. I never really got into it because I chose Mag as my starter frame. I didn't give it a chance past Vor's Prize and dropped it entirely up until March of 2019, where I started playing again. This time I got Garuda, a frame that one might not get for a long time when they've just started playing Warframe. I purchased her with Platinum and decided, "Hey, might as well have something to enjoy the game with." And I was right. I enjoyed Warframe a whole lot more, but this isn't a review about Garuda.

I was overwhelmed with the amount of weapons and frames that were just waiting to be built or bought. I nearly set the game down a few more times, but when I started the questline up again and was forced to the Second Dream by another friend of mine... Well, Warframe latched onto me like a parasite. It's a symbiotic relationship. Even if I wanted to stop, I can't.

The soundtrack and overall sound design of Warframe is wildly amazing for a free to play. Everything flows so well, and while the flow of music isn't as smooth as DOOM 2016, it's damn near close and is just as captivating. The same can be said of the gameplay, which exceeds even the most successful of AAA titles.

Warframe is a uniquely designed game, with developers that'd rather have a pleased community than a boatload of money. The community is exceedingly helpful and one of the most non-toxic environments in gaming at the moment. There have been three negative encounters that I've had with people. Three. Out of hundreds, maybe even thousands, or tens of thousands.

Bottom line here is, try the damn game out. It'll be hard at first, but you won't regret a moment of it when you surpass your 100th hour.

It cripples my 1080ti when loading in bigger ships. How I wanted to fly the Normandy SR-2... How my game slowed to 19 FPS....

Fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game first.

I was excited, so, so excited for this game. I've pumped over 3,000 hours into the multiplayer mod for JC2, and an extra 500 across the series as a whole (including time spent on Xbox), and I love the series as a whole. But this game? This game is nearly trash.

When I first saw the trailer for this game, I was pumped, tornadoes and extreme weather, it had to be great, didn't it? Well, I was clearly wrong. The graphics are bad, and the optimization is even worse. For context, I'm running a 1080ti, i7-8700k, 32GB DDR4, and at 1440p. At max, I get 75FPS, and yeah, that's not horrible, but hell, JC3 runs better than that at the same settings, with more graphical fidelity. I've seen drops down to 30FPS, which is usually around the tornado, but still, the particle effects are something more suited for a game from 2013.

That's just the graphics. The story is a whole 'nother issue. I've never seen a worse attempt at a game's story, and I get that you're not meant to play Just Cause for the story, but I mean, come on. Escort missions, defend this, defend that, protect a transistor, blow up a generator, flip some switches. It's the same crap over and over again. The ending has no closure, and Mass Effect 3 did a better job at closing stuff off than this game. The cutscenes look like they're straight out ripped from the era of an Xbox 360.

Onto the gameplay. Coming from JC2 and JC3, the grappler took a giant step back, where you could retract ♥♥♥♥ no matter what, a lot of it's automatic, and the clunky menu systems don't exactly help you change it either. I rebound my grapple key to F, and the function to G, but alas, it still shows up as if the function is F. Everything else is... fine? The gunplay is great, and they now have treaded tanks, but the driving is still similar to JC3's, only slightly better if you're playing with a keyboard and mouse; on controller, you'll feel the weight of the vehicles, and it's a ton better.

Messing around with the weather was fun, but trying to run it on older systems, or below minimum requirements, was a horrible experience. I have a laptop, with dedicated graphics from 2013-2014, and it runs the game absolutely fine, but when it came to weather, the performance would absolutely tank.

However, I do have one good thing to say about it. The sound design was absolutely amazing, coupled with a synth-y score and heavy drum-beats, you could almost ignore the faults listed above. Almost. It's seriously amazing, what they did with the audio, and I hope they release a soundtrack.

Overall, I'd give Just Cause 4 a 4/10. There's not really any incentive to buy it yet, and I'd have to say that a consumer should wait for a sale, or until they fix the game. Knowing Avalanche and Squeenix though, it won't change, but there will probably be a mod later down the line.

Runs great on a 1080ti/i7-8700k! A stable 30FPS at 720p!

I bought this because I wanted Cyberpunk. No replacement for CD Projekt Red, but still bloody fun eitherway.

I've been hyped for this game for a few months, but sometimes things just don't go as planned.

Pros:
Amazing soundtrack.
Great graphics.
Great level design.
SFX in general is great, though the mastering could use a little bit of a touch-up.

Cons:
Pop-in textures.
Sometimes the FPS locks to 30FPS, though it can be removed with a simple change in V-sync settings.
FPS is capped at 60. While not terrible, I could easily run this at 144Hz (I'm on 1440p)
Censoring is a bit annoying, but nothing to complain about.

I'm still going to recommend this game because it's $30.00. You get what you pay for, and this game should be upped by about $10 in my opinion. The launch has been about as stable as can be from indie developers, and I'm surely not expecting perfection.

I haven't played this as much as JC2MP.

Honestly this one has not had the same charm as JC2MP.

Wait for more features.
