Yes, it's a VR wave shooter, of which there are many. It's also the best one, bar none, and wicked fun in coop. Graphics are beautiful, classes are fun as hell, story mode takes you on a kinda weakly-written but intense journey, and the weapons handle beautifully. Haven't tried public matchmaking myself, but with how many party invites I've shamelessly ignored, it seems to work fine. Even playing with a friend across the continent I never noticed latency or desync issues.

Either Raw Data or Onward are going to be your favorite game, and I cannot give you any reason not to own both.

A fantastic expansion on the concept of the first game, and you can tell there's a lot of room for more factions and lords. On the one hand, that means you can expect a lot of DLC to buy, like with the first game. On the other hand, it means you can expect a lot of DLC to add content, like with the first game which easily doubled in size and scope.

If you liked the first one, you'll like this one even more. Rituals and new campaign/race mechanics add an interesting spin on the conquer-the-world style of other TW games, and the races are all unique and fun to play. Not just different units or different strong points, but how you go about the campaign will vary. The lizards, rats, and emos will hold your interest and offer very different experiences. The High Elves end up being kind of 'vanilla' but their political intrigue and spying gives them a really strong edge on the strategic level. It all works out in the end.

Like any CA game, it's a just a little unbalanced, you can see where the DLC is supposed to fit, and there are some glaring issues they'll patch over the next few weeks (autoresolve feature is beyond useless right now). Still, none of that can stop the game from being really damn fun.

Can't wait for the combined map and SFO Mod to come out.

Absolutely ridiculous fun. It's come a long way since the early releases and now the combat is varied, absurd, and incredibly satisfying. A must for VR owners.

Still some of the most fun you can have hating your friends and screaming at robots.

Pro tip: if you see a teammate grab cardio, abandon ship.

A great among ARPGs which have been in a rather deep lull lately. Feels more developed and "adult" than torchlight, reards thought and planning unlike D3, and overall makes you want to play out the different characters to get a different kind of play. The plot, should you choose to explore and read journals, is actually really cool. I'll admit, though, it took me a while to figure that out since I went for pure mayhem my first time through.

Absolutely and highly recommended.

Like Illwinter's Dominions this game is harsh, tutorial-free, and endlessly deep and rewarding when you figure things out. It's an interesting fantasy setting filled with carnivorous pack hunting deer, giant monsters, and magic. At first, just figuring out how to take and hold territory against animal raids will seem tough. The element of the unknown makes it feel like exploring a deadly and magical frontier. Can you actually beat that damn giant crab, or that wandering "otherness"? Only one way to find out.

Given a few hours, you'll be fielding professional legions bolstered by demon lords in no time. I know I was.

Compared to Dom4, this game seems to have a much heavier focus on interesting battles and rpg elements for singleplayer. I actually found myself watching the auto-resolve battle replays closely, yelling at the screen with every lucky bandit arrow and cheering with every fireball unleashed upon my enemies.

Overall, if you're willing to learn a new system and old-school GUIs don't phase you, get it and dig in. CoE4 will reward you handsomely.

A complex and management-heavy RTS that suffers from some of the worst balance issues I've ever seen in the genre. Weapon ranges and strength are all over the place, and not one of them makes sense. A T54 (Soviet, 1954) outranged and one-shot my Abrams (American, 1992), and I haven't played since.

Still a decent base game, but infested by cheaters and very much victim to the "latest release" meta where the newest paid character will always be the strongest. Paladins was great, once, but it just isn't fun anymore.

Like an outrageous B-Monster-Movie version of Starship Troopers, and exactly as good as that sounds.

You'll want to do a little searching online to understand some of the mechanics (right arrow on the keyboard is the menu to invite friends to play), but if you get through the menus alright there is nothing but ridiculous fun and frenetic action in store for you here.

Caveat to this recommendation: I don't play vanilla, and haven't in quite some time. I run the Radious mod at all times.

Simply put, the most polished and enjoyable of the Total War games to date.
Yes, there is some DLC spam and you'll want to figure that in to the game's total cost, but it's not nearly as bad as other recent TW titles (Attila comes to mind).
Yes, I've experienced some late-game crashing due to AI bugs, (but only once, in fact, and the devs seem to address these pretty quick).
Originally, the game felt kind of empty and unfair, but later updates and especially the Radious mod have filled it with life and balanced most of that out. Except maybe for the undead, they're pretty boss by design.

The bottom line is, I keep on coming back to play more of it. The factions are all well designed enough and different enough that I find myself with one campaign save for each faction, bouncing back and forth to keep things fresh. They've updated the core gameplay to fix a lot of issues with previous games, so that this is still the most complete and enjoyable among their titles.

It's worth the money. If you want, wait for a sale to pick up all the DLC, but you won't regret this purchase.
