Do you like Hades 1? Do you wish there was 10x more of it? Do you enjoy fantastic music while panic-dashing through aesthetically pleasing maps?

Then buy this game.

The combat fluidity is top-notch, the enemy designs are challenging but fair and well telegraphed, and the progression is so satisfying you won't mind repeating runs. It's bigger, bolder, and somehow even better written than the first one.

Regrets: Deciding to do "just one more run" at 11 PM and realizing it is now 4 AM.

I 100% completed Brotato on Xbox and enjoyed it so much that I purchased it on Steam to do it all over again.

This is one of the most approachable and deeply satisfying Roguelites available. It’s incredibly easy to pick up and play, but the escalating challenge and sheer variety of builds make it incredibly fun to master. The "one more run" mentality is dangerously strong here.

My non-gamer wife started playing with me, and now she's hooked. We've been having a blast in local couch co-op (up to 4 players) working toward 100% completion together. It's fantastic.

The graphics are simple but clean and effective, there's a staggering amount of content, and the Steam Workshop is a welcome addition for QoL enhancements. To top it all off, Evil Empire (makers of Dead Cells) has recently taken over development and pledged more content and polish. Huge win.

This is a must-buy for casual Roguelite fun. Incredibly satisfying, fulfilling, and one of my favorite Roguelites of all time. The music absolutely SLAPS. Highly recommended.

A nice blend of peaceful fishing and cosmic horror. The core game is satisfyingly simple: collect fish from all over the world, find secrets, and upgrade your boat. The boat progression feels rewarding, as does the hunt for rare fish. If you stick to using the in-game encyclopedia, the process of discovery is genuinely enjoyable.

The story was interesting enough to keep the game moving in a compelling direction without getting in the way of the core loop. Overall, a pretty good and unique experience."

Must-play for fans of the demanding action-platformer genre.

The world of Grime is unrelentingly dark, creepy, and utterly amazing. Every zone is crafted with a grotesque, organic aesthetic that oozes atmosphere. The narrative is presented in fragments, forcing you to piece together the lore of a bizarre, dying world.

The combat is challenging but incredibly rewarding. Enemies hit hard and require you to master a unique "Absorption" mechanic alongside traditional parries and dodges. Every victory feels earned. The platforming is equally engaging and difficult, often requiring precision and quick reflexes. I frequently caught myself punching the air and laughing in that mix of frustration and triumph after a near-miss or finally clearing a particularly difficult sequence. Earning the Coda Scythesword was a brutal marathon of white-knuckle anxiety—the kind that makes you lurch in your chair, desperately trying to will Akhlan towards the next grab-able surface.

Highly recommended.

This game is a big upgrade from its predecessor, which was also great. The art style is unique and very well done. The game is challenging and fair. The weapon/skill unlocks progress well and the way the asylum changes as you finish levels provides a cool sense of accomplishment. Atmosphere and story are incredible.

You don't need to have played the first to play the second.

It's been fun to hunt down every item to 100% each map. You can replay them if you miss something, however all but a select few maps allow you to back track to the beginning if you missed something. As a completionist this makes me extremely happy.

Well worth the purchase and the time spent beating it.

I loved Farcry 1, 2, 3, and to a degree, 4. I want to give this a "neutral" rating. For $90, which is what I paid for the season pass and this game though? Negative. Here's why:

1) The story falls very short of the first three games, especially when compared to 1 and 3. I feel like a child caught between mommy and daddy arguing. No decision is correct, someone is always pissed off, and while there are "consequences" to every action, I have to listen to an NPC chew me out at the end of every mission because I chose the lesser-loser situation. Not a fun factor.

2) The much flaunted CO-OP is pretty terrible. Your CO-OP buddy can only join to help you with outposts, herb gathering, and hunting missions. Your buddy is also limited to 150 meters before they disappear off the face of the earth. It's like walking in a world where only the first player can see anything, and the second player is stuck to stare into oblivion only to support you with a few extra bullets towards a goal which is already foolishly easy. Even on hard mode, the game struggles to challenge.

3) UBI: WHAT DID YOU DO TO MULTIPLAYER? One of the great aspects of Farcry 3 was the DM, TDM, and CTF modes. You had a great thing going there. It was a very nice tribute to old school competitive gaming. With this, you do NOT have DM, TDM, nor CTF. You have a messed up version of cowboys and indians where one side gets bows, one gets guns. Sure you can argue there are abilities, but as with every other game that has attempted asymetric combat, in the end, it leads to premade groups and utter frustration. Not to mention... the "indians" are severely underpowered. The average player who doesn't want to gather 5 of his buddies at the same time every night is underpowered because he's stuck in the hunter-gatherer stage of life.

The good though?

-graphics are nice
-story is decent (though not as strong as 3)
-decent characters.
-runs like absolute BUTTER (maxed). Great optimizations.
-Plenty to do.
-nice entry into the seamless coop arena, but it fell short. see above.
-lots of weapons to play with and variations to explore.

Overall, I give it a 6 of 10. Playing Farcry 3 spoiled me, and this is a rehash with a story line borderline dull, a multiplayer that made me want to shelve the game immediately, and $90 less in my pocket which I wish I would have researched more carefully. I would NOT have bought season pass knowing the COOP and the MP was so terrible (in terms of flexibility. Some people like cowboys and indians I guess), and would have heavily debated paying full price for the game. Likely would have waited until it was on sale.

It hurts to say this, because I love this franchise. Once again, UBI fails at multiplayer.

This is a highly replayable, excellent hack and slash. The kills are gratifying. The loot stealing is a fun mini game. The bosses and mini bosses are challenging enough to -want- to farm your character.

Overall good job. I find very little gripes and have absolutely found more than the $20 asking price worth of entertainment. It has almost hit Diablo 2 status on the "funability" scale. Bravo.

This game is horribly British.

But that's ok! In some universe. It's also a console port so get ready to deal with awful menu controls. They patched up most of the issues (oakvale lag, no enter button on menu) and fixed the blury issue. It actually looks pretty good, and the art style will begin to grow on you. By the end of the game, I actually loved it and started taking screenshots.

Character growth is nice and the ability to still hit achievements from both evil and good sides of the ball is great. The combat is fun and engaging. Even if you're into only one style of combat (ranged, melee, magic), you'll eventually earn enough XP to flesh each system out enough to make them all useful in different situations.

The game is well written. It has some pretty comedic moments, some "hard choice" moments, and no matter what you're not stressing about right or wrong you just play it and do. The concept of your player changing by way of decision making is fantastic as there isn't a right or wrong; it's just exactly what it is.

The map is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. The menu controls are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. The auto target is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. Vendors are awful. Some quests are bugged. But what do you expect from a 10 year old game? They did a great job rebuilding the world and modernizing its appearance but it still suffers from old world bugs.

It was worth playing through the bugs and any action-RPG fan needs to give this a good play through. Waiting for Fable 2 (on PC).

Edit: turn off vsync in game, use a forced vsync from your graphics card. You're welcome.

I can't bring myself to recommend this game. I loved the first one: It was original, fun to play, interesting, and I actually cared about the outcome of my decisions. There were decent puzzles and places to explore as well as interesting combat/suspense sequences.

The second one seems devoid of all that. It's a point-click-to-the-end-of-the-story-line which lasts about an hour and a half per episode (my average). Unlike the first, the decisions you make seem to only change what words are being said to reach the same outcome instead of directly changing some aspect of the story or the people you are with.

It's a real shame. Enjoy the first one and don't taint your recollection with a play through of the second one.

This game is perfect. Excelllent hack and slash combat with a fun combo mechanic, great leveling system, beautiful art, challenging levels/enemies, and a high quality item-hunt. Play with a controller. Hard to believe it was virtually all made by one guy. 10/10, the first and only game to get that from me.
