Very good writing, very strong characters, a deluge of choice to find out who you are and what you want to discover. 10/10

I've had a lot of fun and been able to experience the kinda of goofy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you get from a group of friends getting around a game and just having fun. The servers being down right now - September 22nd - doesn't bother me to the point of anger that some others are experiencing right now. I wanted a working game and got a rough gem, something thats gonna take time to get better, time that it should've taken before it ever launched. But right now the most pressing issue is the servers being down. I'm not refunding, I'm not posting a negative review, I'm going to have fun with my friends when the servers come back up. Thanks Overkill and thanks Starbreeze for bringing my friends and I together again to rob some more banks.

Edit: Do not purchase this game

Edit 2: After a seven month drought of content, a very rigorous QoL patching spree, and the release of the second DLC. I can say that this game looks promising again. Starbreeze has proven that a delay would have been better than the launch we got. It's gonna take a lot of work to make this game even half of what Payday 2 is, but we have to remember that Payday 2 took a decade to get to where it is. The games simply have had different amounts of time to polish. They've proven that they haven't lost their spark, and that they just need time. I cannot recommend that people who do not own the game, but for people waiting to see when and IF it gets better, it is. If you own it, give it a second chance. If you don't already own Payday 3, buy Payday 2

Bioware RPG from 03. Writing is amazing, characters are deep, and the combat is modified DnD.

I've played a lot of Fallout NV and I mean a lot. Partially thanks to the lively and all too ambitious modding community and how genuinely well written almost all of the characters are. The game play is lacking however, it's very point and shoot at the thing till it dies whereas Fallout 4 worked to change the combat to be more FPS this game is very strongly seated in ARPG. This is in no small part due to the developers of the game, Obsidian who are made of the remnants of Interplay - Fallout's original creators - meaning that their strength is based in CRPGs and old ones at that. But the writing more than makes up for the lacking combat. Fallout is a game about talking to people and making choices in dialogue if you haven't played Fallout NV before and are looking for more Fallout similar to 4 you're better off going to 76 than to NV. If you want an interesting, well written world that's better than anything Bethesda put out themselves you're in the right place, if you want an RPG lite with action shooting something else may be up your alley.
