AMAZING! I was VERY on the fence about purchasing this game. Sure, I love Mafia II - it's one of the reasons I listen to 50's music so much - but I heard nothing but bad reviews about Mafia III, so I picked it up for $20 on a sale and what can I say, this game was worth the money. Yes, the game has glaring repetition issues, but it all stands on a solid foundation. Besides the core missions, everything else about this game is phenomenal. The voice acting is by far the best I've seen in any game to date and throw in some excelent lip syncing and you've got some of the most moving cutscenes in a game. The radio is great, albiet, not because of the music, but the talk shows that really immerse you in the political climate of the 60's while also keeping track of your characters actions, much like three dog in Fallout 3. And to top it off, the game has excellent cover based combat with great gun diversity. Is the game worth full price? Sure, if you are a fan of the franchise and are willing to accept a Mafia game that isn't really a Mafia game. However, if you get bored easily, I'd recommend staying away from this one. If you see this game on sale, buy it.
