Early Access Review
In an era severely starved for high quality futuristic racers, Aero GPX is a bright shining light. It's the type of game that gets your adrenaline going, and makes you feel like a god when you play well. Highest of recommendations.

I wanted to wait until I 100%'d everything before I left a review, but this game is just wonderful! If single screen arcade action games (à la BurgerTime or Bubble Bobble) appeal to you as much as they do to me, give it a go and you won't be disappointed. Cute art and good music back up the fun gameplay, and it all comes together nicely. The pacing and difficulty curve feel just right too, with new mechanics gradually introduced to keep things fresh.

I had a lovely time with it, thanks Ryemanni!

I did a quick run-through and had a big dopey smile on my face the whole time. Me and my dad loved this game back in the day and would play it constantly. Can't wait to tell him about this port and get back into it all over again.

Thank you guys so much for doing this, you brightened my day. I hope other XLIGs can get the same love. <3

Very simple concept, but extremely fun with a great sense of progression. Easy to pick up and play with a great soundtrack to boot. Highly recommended!

As many people have already mentioned, the first boss is unbeatable in this version of the game. This is because the dev team that ported this game to PC upped the framerate to 60 instead of its original 30, which also results in a sluggish feeling paddle. The devs have been promising a fix to the boss issue FOR THREE YEARS, but of course, there is no fix as of yet, and frankly I don't think there will ever be one. The only real solutions as of now are to get a complete save state to be able to skip the first stage, or to downgrade to the beta version, which is 30 FPS, and plays more smoothly as a result. However, doing the latter has its own myriad of problems. For one, bouncing beats sometimes count as a "miss" even if they've cleared been hit. Crashes are also quite frequent, which can result in all your progress being flushed. Basically, this port is a total mess, and the devs behind this port have shown a great deal of unprofessionalism in resolving this critical issue.

It's a real shame too, since this game is genuinely excellent, and I can personally vouch for the quality of the Wii and 3DS versions. All of the PC ports of the Bit. Trip games are lackluster, but this one especially drops the ball, and serves as a prime example of a poor port, which is honestly no real surprise considering how little experience Empty Clip Studios has (not to discredit them entirely, I certainly couldn't do a fraction of what they've done). If Choice Provisions had handled this one themselves, I'm sure the end result would be much more impressive, but as it stands, there's no way I can recommend this version, despite it being one of my all-time favorite games. This is a rare occasion when a slower framerate makes for a better game. Do yourself a favor and buy any other version of this game.

I'm usually very stingy with my money, often waiting for in-depth reviews and price drops before making a purchase on a game. There's very few times when I know I will enjoy a game before I even play it. This is a notable expection. Tadpole Treble is an absolute masterpiece, and one of my absolute favorite games of the year. With its cute art style, creative concept, challenging objectives, and memorable tunes, this is one game that no one should miss out on.

With new and old concepts being used, Contraption Maker is a reimagining of The Incredible Machine, while still being able to to stand on it's own legs. It's really neat that the devs are using this game as an initiative to teach kids, and warms my heart that the the original IM dev (Kevin Ryan) is involved in the project. Brings back really fond memories, can't recommend this enough.
