Although I have only played this game for a short period of time, i actually enjoy it.

-quick to master
-easy to pick up and play
-interesting concept
-scary level design
-unique character design
-some unique game play

-only 3 levels
-a bit buggy
-won't be able to play again once all the player lives are gone
-a bit repetitive

those points aside, I actually think the developers deserver a bunch of praise for sticking to their guns and actually releasing a game that actually "Ends". I know some people may not like the idea that there is no replayability once the game is "Over" but I feel this is actually a very unique concept that actually could create a whole variety of games that have similar features. My biggest grief with the game is that it only has 3 levels and I can feel that will easily get very boring for most players. I am also fairly worried that the gameplay will get stale and quite soon.

Either way I give this game a 7/10 just because of the unique concept.

Playing Spirits of Xanadu brings me back to an old sci-fi roleplaying place aka the system shock 2 era. The atmosphere although not very scary, is very reminiscant of all the old sci-fi first person games I used to play.

The game is quite easy to play as it's a normal first person adventure game, the parts that are difficult are the shooting parts. The mouse tracking is incredibly finicky and needs to be changed within the options to make it easier to actually shoot enemies if you're spotted. Sadly the respawns are a bit weird as you end up in the brig everytime you "die".

Anyway, all in all Spirits of Xanadu is a game worth playing, it might be short and the puzzles might be difficult, but please play it!

I think we are all being a bit too negative here. Don't we actually mean it's the best game ever? After all, bugs ruin your game 24/7 random ♥♥♥♥ that doesn't make sense happens, you fall through the map constantly and even after all that, monkeys can throw ♥♥♥♥ at you!

12/10 would up rate bad games again

I haven't played this game for very long... so far from my experiences I have found it a very tense but endearing game. I have thoroughly enjoyed it up until I accidentally get my favourite characters killed. After that I genuinely have to restart as I feel so bad for getting such nice people into stupid situations.

Although I wouldn't call this a "Game" it is quite an interesting experience. I enjoyed learning about the different weapons and pieces of authentic equipment throughout my experience playing this. The one major fault I have with this game is that it needs to have an easier way to get XP, maybe through the gun range? I'm not sure how that could be resolved but it is quite boring 'grinding' XP for new guns.
