I genuinely really loved this little game. The core story was really well done and wasn't as spoon-fed as I expected it to be. I had to actually use my lil noggin a bit to really listen to what the characters were saying and the solution was actually pretty intuitive in the end.

The secrets were actually a ton of fun to find and several got genuinely good laughs at out me. Honestly, this was more than worth the $4.99 USD price tag and I really hope to see more from this dev.

Also, 10/10 on the PS1 aesthetic, with the pixel waves and all. Just, ugh, charming.

I don't want to say more, I don't want to spoil a thing, but this was genuinely a fantastic little game. :3

Devs are out of touch, bugs are getting more and more plentiful, and the community has just honestly gone to hell, with "mains" of both sides locked in an eternal war that is going to end up with this game being a PvE game versus a bot killer at this rate.

It has lost all feeling of being a horror game. It's basically just "extreme tag" with some big name horror icons playing the tagger role.

There's a lot of fun to be had - especially with friends - but I, personally, do not find it fun anymore and hate the direction the game is moving in.

Honestly, aside form some desync issues in some multiplayer content, this is a genuinely really fun game. Challenging, lots to do, immersive in some ways.

It does have WAY too many menus, IMHO, but it introduces them bit by bit and they make sense, just... it can feel like too many.

The party is stretched too thin to be interesting and frankly a lot of the political jokes aged REAL poorly given current events.

If you were interested in this game and can't find it on Steam, it isn't sold standalone anymore. Look for "Citizens Unite" - which is this game and its sequel in a bundle.

This game absolutely immersed me and made me feel like I was in this world, with these people, trying to juggle dwindling resources to survive in a world that didn't care about me or want me.

Granted, I live in a world exactly like that so it wasn't a hard stretch.

Citizen Sleeper is up there with one of the more memorable, touching and sometimes haunting pieces of fiction I have ever played and I still desperately dream of a hardened mercenary coming to sweep me away from all of this.

So I 100% the game on stream and it was pretty fun overall. Collecting some of the bugsnax for the 100% was a bit of a choir and a bit convoluted and some of the bosses were not very engaging to play against but overall I had a blast and the voice acting was on point. The humor was also great. The story is a little weak in places but overall I think it landed and was genuinely pretty good.

I think it is worth playing for just about anyone interested :)

Everyone should play it, it is great. I had a blast.

The game is dead now, but even in its prime it had some... issues. The best part of it was the devs could sort of invade your game as the various "totally not gods" and affect the lore and move the story forward. The problem was... they only really ever did it to big name streamers and favored people in their communities and most people never got to engage with that.

The story is "completed" and the devs have moved on and what is left just isn't enough to really keep the fires burning.

Picked this up with a buddy and while it started out pretty fun the gameplay got a bit shallow and repetitive pretty fast. After about an hour in it felt like the game had long since stopped throwing anything really new at us and just was relying on the same tricks/puzzles over and over just with tighter execution windows. It's cute and has charming visuals but it just didn't hold our interest for very long.

My time played is a flat out lie, I played and beat this game my freshman year of college (2007) and I dunno why it says 30 minutes played. Maybe I beat it on xbox and I'm losing my mind. Anyway....

What can I say about a game so famous already? It's a fun FPS with a fun story with a well known twist and just the right amount of humor mixed in with some dark visuals and themes. Really worth playing.
