All the potential this game had has been completely wasted due to mind-boggling decisions and pure corporate greed. As a long-time fan who eagerly awaited its return for an entire year, I am utterly disgusted by the catastrophic missteps and blatant corporate greed that have marred what could have been a fantastic experience. This was supposed to be the grand comeback, but what we received is nothing more than a half-baked, greed-infested mess.

First and foremost, the grind to earn currency for a single character is outright ridiculous. You have to max out six characters just to scrape together enough currency To buy one. But it doesn’t stop there new characters cost double the usual 3,000 fighter currency! This hike is nothing but a blatant cash grab, showing zero regard for the player base.

Adding insult to injury, new characters are locked behind a battle pass that lasts 8 weeks. This means unless you're willing to shell out even more money, you're stuck grinding away for an obscene amount of time just to access new content. What happened to testing characters or skins we didn’t own in practice mode? That's gone too.

Speaking of currency, the game is now flooded with tons of it, but it's absolutely worthless. There’s no longer any gold, and you can’t buy skins with gold either. Instead, every skin now costs an extortionate $10-$20. Even the ones you had previously unlocked are all now in the shop. This isn’t just greed; it’s highway robbery. And the promise of saving progression? A complete Lie, All the items we earned, unless we paid real money for them, have been wiped out.

The battle pass system is another slap in the face. Progressing through it is restricted to missions and events, which is a thinly veiled attempt to force players into a specific playstyle, stripping away any freedom or fun.

Changing characters is now a cumbersome process, and even switching perks. Is gone

The new PvE mode is blatantly pay-to-win, further tipping the scales in favor of those who can afford to pay more. For faster progression and item unlock instead of skills.

The PvE mode requires a second player, but there’s no in-game way to find a partner. This means you have to venture outside the game, which is completely asinine.

And this isn’t even everything. The removal of free-for-all mode, the absence of ranked mode, and the complete erasure of leaderboards are all shocking decisions that strip away the competitive spirit and community engagement that made the game so compelling in the first place.

This game had so much potential, especially given the extended development time. But instead of delivering a richer, more engaging experience, the developers opted for a superficial graphics update while piling on grind, paywalls, and other anti-consumer practices.

We didn’t need a graphics overhaul; we needed more characters, content, more ways to compete, Fun events, And most importantly a better way to grind for things and a less bothersome way to enjoy the game. You Listened to none of our feedback and managed to create the worst possible version of the game.
