This game just keeps getting better and better. I can't stress enough how important it is that updates are free (no pricey DLCs here) and consistently add value to the massive amount of content that was already in-game from 1.0. Concerned Ape is the gold standard for developers. I've purchased the game across multiple platforms (including mobile) so I can scratch that farming/sim/adventure itch anytime.

War is explored from a whole new (and humbling) perspective. Technically speaking, it's a sandbox survival, with days spent crafting and taking care of your people and nights spent gathering resources. But it's so much more than that. More human, more messy, more real. It's a game you'll think about even after you turn it off. You will either kill someone innocent, or steal and indirectly cause someone's death, to survive. It's inevitable. And if you have a heart at all, you're going to cry when it happens-- because that's how good this game is at humanizing the characters and the pain of living in the middle of such an impossible situation.

It's just.
Incredible. Painful.
