This game is the definition of "slog". If you have played Moons of Madness and got this game cause "it seems similar" it is NOTHING like Moons of Madness. It's one LONG walking sim where you hear one woman talk to one man for hours at a time. While the game ALMOST hand holds you through everything except certain parts where you end up aimlessly driving a rover around trying to make sense of the map and where you need to go. Maybe this game would be good for someone that read the book and enjoyed that or something but putting that into a game was a mistake.

Gameplay wise the games "fine". Everything works as intended but my God is it boring. There is no combat, which is fine. But the speed at which this game is paced is PAINFULLY slow. 4 hours feels like 10 hours.

Best gameplay of the series hands down. The story is good too. Borders the cliche/stereotype/racist/sexist writing you'd expect for "modern audiences" at a couple points and you can tell they shoe horned the writers/directors personal grudges into the game at points but over all they did a decent job at just keeping it about "BJ killing Nazis". The ones scene in particular that felt off is when BJ says "White Nazis facists pigs" or whatever, the inclusion of the words "white" and "pigs" comes off as more of a product of wording from today not from a 1940's American soldier. Prior to this in the games he just says he "likes killin' Nazis" without the "white" and "pigs" part. Just felt completely out of place and it's the only part in the game where he does that after meeting a stereotyped black woman. Hates men, thinks white people are bad etc. etc.

BUT after that the game drops that whole thing off and the writing goes back to just being about getting to the end game, killing Engle.

Awesome game, good start to the series. Stealth feels good. You hardly, if at all, feel like there is TOO many enemies or they're all too armored.

100% can say you can just play this then the second game, the prequel game "The Old Blood" is not worth it and will raise more questions about what in the world is going on then the game that's supposed to take place after it will answer. You'll run into things that aren't mentioned again and the game play is mediocre at best.

Beat this game and I'd suggest anyone that wants to play thru the series just skip this one tbh. At first you're excited cause of the location and where you're going. You're excited for the story that led to the first game. But the game goes off the rails with zombies at one point. The "stealth" hardly exists where as it's something you can actually do in the first game. This game you CAN stealth certain sections it's not anything close to the first game. The climbing mechanic is lame, I don't like having to left click hold, right click hold, let go of left click, left click hold, etc. etc. Breaking the walls mechanic is half assed, you end up throwing your knives at the walls half the time. Speaking of walls and climbing segments you'll end up in a room/dead end trying to figure out where you're supposed to go. Guess what? It's some climbable wall that just blends into the environment, looks like it's just an asset. Same with the breakable walls. Some points in the combat like when escaping Wolfenstien is ridiculous. The tram part is just dumb with out accurate and how many grenades the enemies throw. On top of that, majority of the enemies in this game are armored. Which goes back to the stealth bit, you can't stealth your way past armored people cause headshots do nothing and shooting them multiple times they will yell. They really shoe horned a bunch of crap into this game for what reasons? I'm not sure. I just really hope that the next game doesn't have everything this game does. I really hope it goes back to the way the first game was.

I wanted to play a game where the Nazis were messing with the occult stuff and making grotesque machines with human body parts and stuff, not a Nazi zombies game. The ONLY way this game "makes sense" is if it's canon to Doom. That being said, not ONCE in the first game, which takes place AFTER this game, did BJ ever mention anything about zombies or people coming back from the dead. Which would have been something that would of 100% been brought up if this game came out BEFORE the first game. Just ridiculous.

If you like sci-fi and horror this games for you. It's not a combat game or anything like that. It's a narrative linear game. REALLY good.

Make sure you check this games store page for reviews, not the "Call of Duty" one... it seems kinda sus they are even allowed to do that.

The game is infested with cheaters. Not like your traditional hackers we PC gamers are used to. Not rage hacking. But things like DMA cheats, Xim/Cronus (Google it and you'll see the issue), the game is currently unplayable in a fun manner outside of prop hunt. The SBMM is insane when you are playing against cheaters constantly. Black Ops 6 was fun for the first day or two of playing then the game threw me into games that are impossible to enjoy. I can't suggest this game to anyone and I have since uninstalled after playing today cause the new skin bundle interested me, and before I purchase it I want to remember why I stopped playing and see if it got better. It hasn't. So uninstalled and didn't buy the bundle. I'd suggest playing BF2042 over this game. And I HATE 2042.

You're more likely to get chat banned for saying a bad word and typing a bad word than you will cheating.

In light of the current economic climate and the increasing prevalence of free-to-play models across the gaming industry, it could be argued that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 stands to benefit from embracing a free-to-play battle royale mode, supplemented with thoughtfully implemented microtransactions. This approach would not only expand the game's reach but also provide an accessible entry point for a broader, more diverse player base.

Given the financial challenges many players face today, microtransactions, when executed with care, offer a viable way for developers to maintain and enhance the game's ongoing development while ensuring that players have the flexibility to engage with the title in a manner that suits their individual circumstances. In this context, cosmetic purchases, season passes, or optional content could provide meaningful revenue streams that support continued investment into both the game's core experience and potential expansions, without compromising the integrity of the original vision.

A battle royale mode, carefully integrated into the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, could invigorate the franchise by appealing to a wider demographic, while preserving the series' signature atmosphere and world-building. Such a mode would not only introduce exciting new gameplay dynamics, but it could also tap into the competitive multiplayer trend, which remains a dominant force in gaming today. By offering this mode for free, with the option for microtransactions to enhance the experience, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 could thrive in a challenging economic landscape while remaining faithful to the essence of the franchise.

Having played through the entire "The Room" series in the last two days, I can say this might be the best one. The only gripe I have is the time it takes to go into a room, and exit after unlocking one thing that you have to go to the next to use etc. It becomes really tedious. If this game was in a first person view and as you unlocked rooms you could just run from room to room I think it would be a much better exp. All in all I would still say to try it, to anyone that enjoyed the previous entries.

This is the third game in "The Room" series and it's good. You can tell they are starting to figure out exactly how they want the game to play. I would think that over time getting into possibly using WASD to move would be a really good QoL improvement. After playing the first and second one first, I like this one.

Another one knocked out of the park, I think the moving around the room to solve puzzles is good but also "not good". It borderline gave me motion sickness with the way it moves. The only other gripe I have is for some WILD reason the sound, even when set to volume 1 would be SO loud I had to turn my TV down from what it already was at. It was so loud my wife could hear it in the other room. Seems kind of not ok. The puzzles were cool, the intuitive design was kind of thrown away compared to the first one but moving through the series today, we will see how the 3rd and 4th one do. I would still recommend the game to anyone that enjoys puzzle games such as Myst and Riven etc.
