The controls are super confusing and the whole UI is loud and obnoxious.

I have been following this game since the Kickstarter and I feel it's finally in a place where I can recommend it. The game had a rocky start but it's now truly fun to play. It's not perfect and the tutorial could be improved but overall it's a highly tactical game with a unique and chill atmosphere. I would compare Godhood to XCOM or Darkest Dungeon with the combat replaced by an auto battler. The game has a fair amount of randomization but you have enough control to overcome most adversity.

Your main focus is building a roster of disciples and everything flows nicely around the main conceit. The city is still a bit strange because of this and it can be confusing because the game has little in common with your traditional god games. Don't play this game expecting Populous or Black and White.

I would recommend this game for people who want a unique experience that is chill but also highly tactical.

It's hard to compare it to perfection that is FTL, but Crying Suns provides an entertaining approximation.

This game is a great combination of chill gameplay combined with impressive complexity. It has excellent long term developer support with countless updates for more than 5 years. The mods are amazing but not necessary because the base game has so much depth and replay value.

This is such a charming and fascinating game. It combines many gameplay elements including turn based strategy, RPG, roguelike, and storytelling into a very tight and balanced package. The game is fairly short but emphasizes replayability like most roguelikes. The adventures and stories varied and have multiple results so you end up seeing something new every time you play. RNG is used pretty extensively but it feels suprisingly fair.

The multi layered rock, paper, scissor combat system is very unique and adds so much to the charm you could easily confuse it for a Nintendo game. The story telling is light hearted and silly that it's hard not to smile. The secrets and collection elements are very rewarding as well. The game is challenging but beatable even on the hardest difficulties. There's a large number of difficulty settings so it's even playable If you want to adventure with your kids or just want to experience the stories.

The best part of this game is the community. The developers have encouraged community driven weekly challenge events that have brought together the most positive gaming community that I have ever seen. The players are constructive and the deleopers are responsive to feedback. It's easy to get advice from the pros and trolls are delt with in a calm manner.

This game is great and the only complaints that I have seen are in regards to the length. If you don't like playing roguelikes that favor replayability then this may not be the game for you. It's also pretty silly so you should consider staying away if you prefer your games violent and grim.
