Love what this game is. Love what it can become. I know Andrew Gower will take the feedback from players and address any issues and concerns that come up like the way combat works currently. We have seen him already addressing it by explaining it and expanding upon the reasons and philosophies. So far, this game is great.

I'll be honest the Epic Games Services for Online is a non issue for me. The game is just what I wanted!

Fun and Interesting take on the Metroidvania genre. Graphics are enjoyable. Concepts are new and fresh. Thought I was softlocked a few times but every time it was just me missing a hidden entrance, or a new technique to manipulate your way through. Highly Recommend.

Fun when it works. Only have been able to play 3 matches. 1 of which didn't track. Will update when things change.

This game combines unique concepts from various genres such as Tower Defense, FPS, Roguelite, and Extraction. Originally from the trailer you expect a landscape of 100's of enemy's ramming your base 24/7. This is misleading but despite that the game is still fun. The core loop feels like an extractor game like a PvE Escape from Tarkov or DMZ from COD, DEATH IS EXTREMELY PUNISHING. After the initial tutorial you are placed in your home base where you can use the loot extracted from each tour to upgrade the meta progression of your character/base. Tours consist of multiple maps you go through collecting loot and gaining powers that will help you survive the end of the tour "recovery day". After you've cleared as many areas as you choose you can head back to recover all the materials you looted. This is where the bulk of the Tower Defense and swarms of enemy's come in. As the more you try to extract the longer you will have to survive against progressively harder enemy's. As of this review (15 hours in) I still feel as though I am in early game and endgame being still a ways away. Other things I found enjoyable is the weapon upgrades each feeling very unique. I've had one that call lightning strikes at enemy's and another that shoots kinetic balls at enemy's dealing damage to them as it passes through. The base building in this game is next level. If they nailed anything the building, the only caveat being that you need to do some farming for materials to manufacture more base parts. Story in this game is generic. AI took over and now humanity is clawing its way back. This is a bit more to it but that's the premise. Its not necessarily awful but the highlight of the game isn't really the story anyway. The lip movements of characters are not synced to the English which makes for a somewhat jarring experience.

The developers have already updated and patched 3 times since launch, and are already talking future content. Fixing some optimization issues and crashes. I am on a 4070TI and a i7-13700K and I have not experienced a single crash or optimization issues.

***If your looking to get a good idea of the game the tutorial is well done and can be completed before the 2 hour refund window. The tutorial throws you onto an endgame base and teaches you all the major systems.***

On a 4070 TI And a i7-13700k cpu @ 1440p ultra wide I am getting lows of around 60-70 fps and highs of 120 fps max settings. For me I found this acceptable with no frame drops below 60 except for in the capital city which is expected. As it stands now I love this game, but can't recommend it unless you have a beefy system to brute force the optimization issues.

Great game, high replayability, and lots of potential. For a few dollars it's a steal.
