Personal favourite game of all time. Endlessly re-playable and timeless. Mod support overhauls it to modern standards. Downside: The story is too good, every other subsequent game has paled in comparison.

The Inscryption/UT/Deltarune general genre (but not Omori). From this weird "genre", despite it being (code-objectively) the poorest, it's still my favorite. (Omori being left out helps it)
I've probably played this game about 200 hours, so x100 more than it displays.
It does what it seeks out to do and does it completely. Too completely - that's why it's not perfect - it's not Omori, right?
The pacing of the beginning is by (I'd say a day) too slow. That's what it kills the enthusiasm when you want to play it again. This could have been avoided by adding more variables in interactions at the beginning but alas. It relies on mods to get me to still create 10 folders of this same pink-background curse and replay it.

Either way, DDLC sets out to do a very specific task. Unlike with every other game I've mentioned, the lack of a task, a goal, a purpose is what makes it stand out. That decision gives the characters the freedom and memorability still seen to this day.

9.5/10. Also, Monika > Natsuki > null.

MindNight is a social deduction detective-esque, poker-esque game whose core principle is excellent. The issue comes from the luck variable being too much of a determinant. It decides not only whether you win or lose but it dictates the enjoyment of playing a "social" video game.

"SOCIAL": This game would be fine even with the amount of random 'team-building' (if you can call it that) & how much you depend on the user-teammate.
If there were users actually playing the game.
4 out of the 40 hours were probably spent waiting for a 5 man lobby to fill up, which is sad since I like the core idea behind the game and the aesthetics it was going for.
