It's such a shame what really caught the public attention is the horrendous cash shop and the performance issues, because this right here is an RPG masterpiece. There's so many neat little details, so many things you wonder "I'm really able to do that?!?", a world that reacts to your actions, chonky satisfying combat, fun traveling where I've used fast travel only 3 times in total... it's such a joy just setting out on an expedition and getting lost in the world, camping with your pawns, sharing victories together, finding out new strategies...

I really didn't want to write this, but:

I get it, it might not be your fault. I don't know, however, it is STILL a game that is being abandoned less than 3 months after a rather broken launch. I adored the premise. It spoke to me personally. I even contributed feedback multiple times directly to the devs.

However, it's still an abandoned game, and so fast too. And steam is denying refunds on principle just because i have 2 more hours than the cutoff.

I'm sorry, this is a big yikes from me, and I'll be very wary of future things from this publisher and developers.

What can I say that hasn't been said yet? A true renaissance of the classic RPG. It's dynamic, engaging, inventive, creative, and just full of little things that make you realize how much they CARED. An antidote to the AAA trend of "whatever works enough lol let's make lots of cash"

A complete improvement over the first one! Every aspect of city building I had to headcanon before is now fully integrated in the mechanics. It's a lot of fun having to keep in mind so many more aspects. Just waiting for the mod floodgates to open and it'll be even better.

While the game is amazing, possibly one of the best of the serie (still on the fence if I like 6 or 4 more), I cannot actually *recommend it* per se.

The game is coded extremely poorly. Every time I get the urge to play again, after a few days I remember why I stopped: it's a technical catastrophe.

I've played this game across 4 different systems, from my old laptop to my new gaming pc, and irregardless of what happens, the game will at one point refuse to function correctly. Expect crashes, lots of them, and being unable to load your savefiles. It's so consistent there is no way it's a coincidence. The assistance is useless and just throws you the same possibly AI generated responses, without actually ever managing to resolve the issue, dumping the blame on the user.

I really, really love this game, but it just refuses to love me back.

What happens when you throw elements from several other games into one big pot, give it a stir and some sprinkles, and make a game out of it? Craftopia comes out.

By all accounts, this game should not be good. It borrows so much from other games that you'd be excused into thinking it's outright stealing ideas. How can many disjointed threads possibly form a cohesive whole?
And yet, it... works? And it works incredibly well?

It's almost schizophrenic. You're thrown from laughing your butt off from the hilarious translation ("The goblin screamed, which made everyone drunk"), to an actually engaging bossfight, to a resource gathering process, while exploring a massive map, with SO many different features and builds for character skills... and did I mention it has VRoid integration? You can import your own avatar.

Reminds me of that quote: "A good artist copies. Great Artists steal". It's the game that shouldn't be this good, and yet it is. It's my go-to comfort game at the moment

Insider Trading has never been this fun!

I do not use mods. However, after the update, the game went from a confortable 40-50 FPS to a max of 30 in an EMPTY WORLD. Having other people, even just more than 2, tanks that to 20 FPS. A full room will randomly stutter to 1 FPS. Might I remind the devs that framerate and smoothness is KEY in a VR title? I have a decent system and okay VR legs, but I couldn't even stand a single hour after the update, the motion sickness was ludicrous. Easy Anti Cheat is a plague, not a tool. Please, PLEASE revert it. I literally can't play anymore, I literally can't.
