Now that it's been updated with a plethora of bugfixes, I can honestly say for certain this is the best way to play this game. Good looking character and enemy sprites, beautiful backgrounds and field textures, an amazing rearranged soundtrack, and great looking effects. It's only missing some of the GBA content, but trust me you can live without it.

The combat system feels very good and it rewards you nicely for more skillful play. Right now there's only 4 levels/bosses but already shows a lot of promise. Good game, can't wait to see what they do with the finished product.

They accidentally updated the game to include extra features and then they realised their mistake and are now taking away those features.

By far the ABSOLUTE WORST online/netcode I've EVER seen in a PC fighting game. WORSE than GFWL. WORSE than the awful SF4 steam implementation. WORSE than SFV CFN. WORSE than indie games made by like 2 dudes in Japan. Games randomly lag to a screeching halt even if your connection to that person was fine 1 second ago. Expect to randomly and suddenly be forced to play with 1-2 seconds of input delay or worse. Also, if the person you're playing against disconnects or declines your match, your ENTIRE GAME CRASHES. Public world lobbies will randomly stop working; you will sometimes be straight up unable to connect to certain players. The only way to fix it is to restart your game. The room match systems sucks too. The system lacks basic features that Guilty Gear has, like directly inviting friends or setting the room to allow quick rematches. You will randomly be unable to see any given room. Even if you have a specific friend you want to play with and you give them your private room password, it's pure luck whether or not they will be able to see your room. This forces you to go to an empty world lobby just to play with a friend. Nobody plays Ranked whatsoever.

Unless you are planning on ONLY playing single player, or local multiplayer, DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. GAME.

My biggest regret is playing this game for so long in training before even touching online.

English update is out. Story seems to be fully translated, along with menus options, etc. However, spell card names are still untranslated, as well as the titles of each BGM track. A
