This game is a viscerally fun PvPvE VR Extraction shooter.
Everything you love about Escape from Tarkov is here, plus a lot of new additions that make good use of VR.
Only cons I have for the game so far are already being worked on:
- Loot Dissapearing
- Game crashing every now and then
- More loot variety
- Character customization
- Aiming when two handing longer guns is a bit clunky

2024 update:
- Bugs are fixed
- Variety and customizability is improved on
- game loop, progression and fun mechanics like making meds and farming fishcoin all make the game loop feel much more satisfying

This game has a more believable scope and vision for their game than most other VR games I have tried. I would honestly not be surprised at all when this game starts getting more updates, that it will get a bigger and more consistent player base than other MMOs like New World.

1. Combat 6/10 - missing a bit of polish and fluidity, but understandable that the devs are trying to balance making combat fluid and accessible at the same time

2. AI 7/10 - Good combat AI, they just experience slight issues with pathing here and there. Combat can be made more realistic/physically intriguing, but that can always be updated later on. The grounds for combat are really good

3. World building 10/10 - Honestly this is the lowest poli count world that I have the highest intentions of exploring. I love the art style, especially for the skybox. If I got just the flying part of the game and the world map, I would already say that the game is worth the discounted price.

4. Mechanics 9/10 - Cooking is so fun in this game. Learning new recipes makes so much sense and I can easily see it being applicable in newer professions that are to come. So many foundations are laid well that it still boggles my mind to this day that such a small team is well on their way towards achieving a dream as huge as this.

5. Overall 8/10 - As an early access game, this is one of the best ones out there in terms of nothing in the game breaking. As a full game, it's still missing a bit of content and more professions/customization. Also, more EU servers would be appreciated.

I am studying and trying to learn some game analysis methods just to learn more from this game and cant imagine how far this has the power to motivate and push every other vr game developer. Graphics were ecstatically stunning to me. I have dreamed of this kind of graphics, scale and just so many different possibilities to do cool things in a vr game and it finally has come.

1. Visuals 4.5/5
This is single handedly the most attractive thing I find within the game. The colour palette is fresh and dynamic, visual effects look awesome. By just looking at the forest around me before progressing to the next stage, I love the sights within the game and I would only want to see more and more small details added to give the world a deeper character.

2. Gameplay 5/5
I personally very much like the gameplay concept and considering that this is an early access game, I think it has some of the most well executed melee combat mechanics. The whole theme with the lines and dodging stuff, I love it! The variation of weapons and ways to improve them amaze me. One thing I think could be fun, although it might not match the game's theme, is a nunchuck-esque(or kind of like Kratos' chains in the older games) weapon you hold with both hands that you have to work around with, where you also can block with the chains or something.
When it releases, as long as the team can introduce fresh additions to spice the gameplay up until it has more diverse playstyle choices, I could definitely see myself picking VR up as my main gaming platform instead of PC solely for this game.

3. Bug report and cons
For some reason, when playing on the Oculus Rift(not S), when I take the headset off in the middle of a run, the game will some times try to load but never load back in. When trying to close the game, the program crashes.
As many others also have mentioned, the blue/grey blinks will probably have to be changed in some way for the release because it is quite immersion breaking having been in such a rich artistic envoirnment and then having a flash of a single color surround you. Making maps slightly bigger might be something to consider to counteract, but I would definitely see it working best if you flow through levels with something pretty to look at while loading. I could live with having the game freeze for 1-2 seconds to load the new stage, though they should be connected instead of seperate.


I have not yet finished the game but from what I have seen, I think this game seems very promising and am excited to see when it will be releasing completely.

Good game with nice graphics and still the best and most well known First Person Shooter title of all time. Just don't expect every game to go perfect like most do and you'll be doing great!

Really liked the game.I like the idea of having your decisions be deciding for what the outcome would be like.Really looking forward to the next episodes ^^
