Very satisfying chill game with a surprising amount of content and different things to do.

Super chill game where you explore a tiny solar system learning about its history and why you are stuck in a time loop . It's not super long or replayable but also not the kind of game you want to rush through all at once. I think it took me ~12-15 hours to finish (including discovering most of the clues even though you don't need all of them to end the game), and ~20 hours total including getting all the achievements. It has by far the most fun/interesting physics of any 3D game I've played and great atmosphere in is several unique worlds that are super interesting to explore.

The main thing I wish they had added/hope they add in the future is voice acting for the NPCs (and possibly recordings that can be found as well). Particularly at the start of the game there are several NPCs you will (though don't have to) talk to and it would be nice to not have to just read everything they say. There are a few events in the game that only occur for a short period of time fairly infrequently where it would be nice if the window of opportunity were a bit bigger. (specifically the sun station teleporter and some of the things only available right at the start of each loop like the quantum caves and high energy lab. Also the quantum tower on brittle hollow I did not have as much time as I would have liked to explore inside once it fell down, though maybe there is a better way to get in I didn't find. )

If you don't have much patience, don't like exploring, or dislike returning to a previous location in the game you might not enjoy The Outer Wilds.

Both DLCs could be stand-alone games. And all the other small DLCs are free. Everything about this DLC is amazing at a good price, for one of the best games of all time.

The best open-world RPG I've played. Nice looking graphics without needing a super-computer, a good story if you don't completely forget what's going on when you get distracted by the numerous side-quests, and unlike many other RPGs the side-quests and locations all feel unique. Unlike lots of other games, the Witcher 3 is definitely complete without the expansions, but the expansions add tons of extra content and are 100% worth the full price. With the expansions it took me ~125 hours to complete most of the game on the second hardest difficult without ever having to play gwent, which I still don't understand at all (card games aren't my thing).

Terraria is the one single-player game I have kept coming back to to replay even years after the beta when I started playing. Loading with content and different ways to play the game, this game has almost the perfect balance between combat and grinding for resources to be interesting without becoming tedious. After you've played the game a couple times, I recommend playing on expert mode which makes the game more challenging while reducing the amount of grinding required to get rare items/boss drops, though unfortunately it doesn't reducing the grinding as much in the late game. While its unlikely much new content will be released, in its current form it can easily take upwards of 50 hours to "complete" one playthrough.

This game is also great for playing with friends. Expert mode makes multiplayer even better, as boss difficulty scales to a degree (they have more total health) with multiple players so it doesn't just make the game easier like other singleplayer games that can be played in multiplayer.

Terraria my second most played game on steam, and probably my favourite game ever overall.

1.4 Update: 1.4 adds a lot of new content, including a lot of quality of life improvements (block swap, automatic doors), journey mode - which is great if you like building, and making summoner a much more viable playstyle (which has slowly been improved over time).

1.4 also added master mode, which I honestly can't recommend playing unless you just think the game is too easy. Expert mode really improves the game and rewards players for increasing difficulty with more rare drops & unique drops, while making the game more interesting with improved AI. Master mode adds some cosmetic items (which are cool), but otherwise no rewards over expert mode (except 1 extra accessory slot) - all it does is increase enemy damage and defense making the game more punishing and frustrating. If you are just looking for an extra challenge, "For the worthy" (secret world seed) seems to be the way to go, though I haven't personally tried it yet.

Making up for ~40% of my total playtime on steam, TF2 is imo the best online shooter game ever. Also its free. Servers are generally pretty good, community isn't as toxic as lots of other shooters, has a ranked competitive, and class-based gameplay with a wide variety of game modes and weapons to choose from ensures there's always a way to play the game you haven't tried yet.

Regarding the recent-ish matchmaking update that lots of people complained about, most of the issues have been fixed, and the casual matchmaking is now not any worse, if not better, than what existed before the update.
