Ok, I've played a while enough to be able to say exactly what I think of this game.

In short, it's a game that could learn from the game it emulates (Escape from Tarkov) while the other way around is also true.
Tarkov is ruthless. This game, can be at times as well, but it brings a comfortable nice presentation to it.
The issue is that game is plagued with Freemium stuff, all the little check-in activities, daily, weekly missions, etc...
And more menus than the average human being should be able to. To be very transparent, I barely played the Battlefield inspired mode, just the Extraction OPERATIONS mode.

If I could dictate some things for this one: Ditch the ridiculous amounts of freemium busywork, make less items useful (some stuff is just money not everything should be used to build something else), and the hero characters? Nah, that's something that is very hard to defend.

You can NOT insure your perfectly designed gun, and the gun design is one of the highlights of the game, you have tons of useless stuff and the AI is insanely bad.

the PVP portion seems riddled with cheaters, and not only, that, the game can become a bit pay to win if you're really smart about it.

For the TLDR people I'll drop the pros and cons

PROS:

-Great Graphics that run easily on most machine, well programmed game
-Shooting mechanics usually feels great
-The Gunsmith is very good, only rivaled by Tarkov, but less obtuse
-Copied Tarkov so much, from items to other little things
-Amazing extraction and infil cutscenes, make you feel cool.
-Very nice and easy to use HEALTH system

CONS

-Even though no one has super stupid powers, "heroes" are for children and overwatch players.
-Bad loot management/use
-Awful and insane number of menus and sub-menus to justify it's different currencies
-Freemium
-Super unbalanced, sometimes it feels like I can take the whole map by myself, sometimes it's unusually hard.

I don't recommend this one because it's actually a bit nice and can suck up your time before you realize it's not worth it. Realism is a spectrum, and this game feels like it doesn't know where it stands.

Hint to devs: It should be MORE realistic, than it is, not less. Especially on PVP, PVE is whatever.

It's pretty middle of the road, I already felt I explained all I think I should. But hey, it's free, it's a beautiful and often fun waste of time, but frustrating for not even try to get the best bits of the games it copies.

This is simply the best RPG game ever made. Full Stop.
This follows the ruleset of DND5e, so if you always felt interested by tabletop RPGs, but don't have a crew or know where to start... Try this. This will leave everyone wanting more and more, and creating more characters and testing how powerful they can become... And of course new adventures, so yeah this is one of the best games ever made, and also, it might be a gateway for a cool DnD adventure with your friends.

Also this game letting you play Co-Op, and on consoles with splitscreen is just insanely good.
♥♥♥♥ Xbox for delaying a lot of things on the console side.
Also I'm a Mac Gamer, and this runs SMOOTH on Ultra on my M2 Pro MBP.

The mods are also fun.

Nope. Almost a thousand hours played on my Mac when this was CS:GO, and now they just drop support for a game with monetization and back then, paid. Mac users went from supported to unsupported, when we know very current Macs are capable of running it. They said they plan to release it for Linux, but not Mac OS, which is weird since they're both Unix systems I don't see the logic. I know Mac users are like 1/2% of userbase, but we paid more than enough on CS:GO to fund whatever ports are necessary so everyone should still be able to play it, not like Valve needs more funding to do it.

Just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ move overall

UNPLAYABLE ON MODERN MACS PAST 2019.

Sometimes Steam gets that wrong but this time its right. This game is 32-bits and unsupported.

To me this game is a classic though. It's the transformation of the ultra methodical Sam Fisher in the previous games, to the Predator he was always inside. Rules of Engament have changed, and so his behavior. The interrogation scenes are FANTASTIC, the fight choreography are always beautiful. Great animations, great UI, intense, immersive and Daddy is PISSED OFF this time. You can still go as much as a ghost and be as methodical as always, but the realm of possibilities open up now that Sam can actually be the pissed off ultra-agent who would put John Wick to shame.

If you're on a Windows, which you most likely are, buy it. The price is high? hope for a discount, wishlist it, it's a fun, game that is also a very powerful power trip. Makes you feel like the ultimate badass!

Just sad Ubisoft only cares about money, couldn't convert this one for 64bit, make its sequel Mac Os available as well.I hope their new special Splinter Cell stuff they're hyping it up is a reboot and we can have the best of both worlds. If it's a remake/remaster (hoping remake) of DoubleAgent/Conviction/Blacklist. Chances of that are like 0, but let me dream a bit..

Whatever happens Mac OS or PS5 at the ready!

Simple, addictive, run in any machine, and it's so much fun!
Give this one a chance, I'm sure it's not expensive. Wish list it at least, because I know it's cheap and if it ever goes on sale, this is a moral obligation. It's a very chill game with nice atmosphere, competitiveness and a great. Just get it, it won't take 10min for you to understand how nice, cozy and fun this is gonna be. End then you end up playing 15h of this very casual game as it was my case. It deserves every accolade, it's a nice reminder that games sometimes only need to n

The original game from the 90's was incredible. This one just makes the whole rebooted franchise shine harder! Fantastic game, mix of time management, team management, tactics, sacrifices... Lots of blood sweat and tears if you play this game enough. It's a fantastic, deep and even emotional experience at times. I don't get many hours here because at the end of the day (♥♥♥♥♥♥ old mac when I got it) I prefer to play it on my then PS4 and now PS5. Amazing Game, If you like tactical turn based stuff, this is the gold standard, buy it with your eyes closed, the price doesn't matter but if you see this discounted, it's a must. If you're a serious gamer, this game is on the Mount Olympus of games in this gender.

UPDATE: 32bit game, DOES NOT WORK ON MAC OS nowadays!

---
One of the best Telltale games and by far the craziest choice of IP until today. Great game, beautiful artwork. Not sure how it's holding up now, I'm gonna TRY to play it again soon and see if it can run on a very modern Macbook Pro.

This game has fantastic moments, adult themes mixed in with fable for kids, it's just very very cool in so many aspects.

Also, kill me, but I like QTE (but only in a handful games like some from Telltale and the games from Quantic Dream).

I hope the new one comes out ASAP and does justice to the amazing Crazy-Noir unique vibe of this game. I'd look into how it's running nowadays on new machines, especially if you're mac or linux, but if it's all gucci, buy it, great experience. I'll try to update this review to make sure people know how it's running on an updated silicon apple architecture.

One of the most important games of my life.
I played Uplink back when it was released. It was challenging at first, noting that I was around 10 and my english wasn't full-on fluent and very far from what to day is even better than the regular American.
Little boasting aside, this game showed me crazy possibilities in this insane world called "Hacking". I became a little hacker after this game, I learned how to infiltrate networks, gain access to my contacts computers just by getting their IP, got my first doses of Social Engineering even before knowing that had a name... Also it's a game that is also a bit of a sandbox, but at the same time it has a very deep and conspiracy based

You feel the king of the world, hacking banks, sending money to your account, calling people to get their voice print and then using it for voice authentication systems, It was intelligent, ahead of it's time, great UX and UI, and until Nite Team no other hacking game came even close, for about 12 years,

This game is legendary, and if I see someone around my age (32) talking ♥♥♥♥ about this game, I'll personally would love to go full on Denzel Washington on they azz.

It's probably cents. Buy it, learn it (learning curve is a bit weird), but when you get it... It's still one of the coolest feelings a game can provide!

Incredible that this game is almost ten years old and it

1- Runs on Silicon Apple Macs (VERY WELL and beautifully)
2- Still has enough support for it to be more compatible than most games launched around 2019 (when Apple decided NO MORE 32bit Apps can run)

It's a fantastic game, a very unique one, and from a Franchise that was in a way a little bit abandoned. The true OGs of gaming know the weight that THIEF carries, and it carries it very well in this game. So may great scenes, such a creative way of making this Semi-Open World system that is very unique, and it gives you all the tools for you to be the greatest Thief ever. You're in a pivotal moment of the political system in this wold and all the little decisions that you make in this game are at least somewhat significant.

For me, still no life-changing decisions that would define some type of ending to the game, not even sure if they have those.

It was definitely a different way of making games in 2014 and you feel that, but bottom line is that this game is FUN, still looks great even 9 years later, and it runs in these beautiful high settings on a Macbook Pro M2.

Anyway, it's one of the greatest Stealth Games and it's a genre that us that love it, know that we don't have many options, especially after losing Metal Gear Solid.

Anyway, I lost track of time playing this one after so many years and I'm so happy this happened.
Because the game is old, the price should be lowered a bit in my opinion, so I'd wait for a discount, but if you want a medieval thief simulator, or just an excellent title on this niche genre, this game is the real deal.

Ok, First off: I played this game on an M2 PRO MacbookPro, so IT IS SUPPORTED, regardless what Steam says. It's not 32bit (like steam says) and it IS compatible with my Ventura OS 13.5.2 (Steam says it's not compatible with Catalina 10.15 or above).

With that out of the way (BUY AWAY MAC USERS!) it's a simple game, with solid mechanics, it feels rewarding, it's not super challenging, but the gameplay loop even if a bit repetitive is fun and kind of addictive. The game is absolutely CHARMING, music gets old fast but it's good at least. The humor is on point, and not that "I'm a Millennial trying to be funny, get it?" that we see on stuff like Borderlands for example.

Anyway, it is worth the small price (it's less than a hamburger where I live).
There's plenty of fun to be had in a little package, simple to learn, and just very vibrant.

Recommended!
