Absolutely one of the most infuriating games i have played to date. Cant recommend at full price at all.

--Commands are extremely sluggish, it feels as if youre playing with 100 ping at all times. Which on its own is fine, but introduce the other flaws of the game, and you get a terrible experience for a casual player.

--Hit reg is basically 50/50, i cannot count how many times ive hit a person, only for them to roll on the ground from the hit, and get right up, without a knockout. Sometimes the game decides to rub some salt in the wound by also playing a hit sound effect, while not affecting the person on the receiving end of the punch at all.

--Grabbing things is so unreliable its honestly unbelievable. Try to pick up a shovel? Nope, grabs the floor/fence/ literally anything but the thing youre standing right in front of. Try to grab an enemy youve knocked out to throw them out? Grabs them with one hand only, preventing you from throwing them. Also sometimes your stamina randomly just drains to 0 if you grab onto something, which cost me plenty of wins in certain games. Fun...

--Climbing; An important aspect of the game in a lot of maps. Sadly it doesnt work at all in my experience. Very noticeable on maps like icebreaker, where climbing out of the freezing water is essential for your survival. The character just does not want to climb up from the edge onto safe land. It keeps jumping up and down on the ledge till you either die or someone walks up to you and knocks you out on the edge, effectively killing you. Climbing just feels absolutely horrible and unreliable

--Knockout times; Some people just refuse to stay on the ground for more than 2 seconds, whilst you cannot get up for solid 5+. Makes for fun and balanced matches

--People you play with; no matchmaking so if youre a casual player that doesnt dedicate 1000+ hours to this game alone, prepare to be wiped out by people who play this competitively, against whom you stand 0 chance of winning against.
Not a rare phenomenon to have your teammate be AFK the whole match either

--No map filters; Unless you play custom games, which are in my experience filled with 60% bots, youre gonna have to opt into casual mode, which has no way of selecting which maps you want to play. 3 maps are presented and voted for by the players who youve been selected to play with, and if you dont want to play the map? Suck it up loser lmao ((personally i just exit the game and wait out the 2 minute cooldown, but that puts my teammate at a disadvantage as they have to play with a bot in my place the whole game))

All in all the game is probably the worst online experience ive had in a while. I get the concept of it being random but at some point, the absolute randomness and bugginess, spiced up by the toxic community, just becomes unfun and frustrating to deal with.
It looks like a fun game, and i do come back to it a lot, but very rarely do i have a good time when i do so.

THE GAMES FOV IS CAPPED AT 90.

In fact, its apparently calculated different than most games nowadays, meaning the actual FOV, in the sense we usually use it, is actually far less (Sea of thieves' horizontal FOV is 90, making the vertical FOV, which is what games normally refer to FOV as, is 59. Yes you are playing this game with 59 FOV). It makes the game feel like youre playing with binoculars. You WILL get motion sick, if you are prone to it.

The games company, Rare, are very vocal about NEVER wanting to introduce FOV higher than the maximum currently allowed in the game. They completely ignore the fact that people on PC simply cannot comfortably play on such low FOV.

For me personally, this game causes headaches and eye strain within 10 minutes of playtime.

DO NOT BUY, if this may be an issue for you

A game that is definetly worth buying. Its fun as hell especially when youre playing with friends.

Not only is the game not fun to play but its also dangerous. Quite literally. The game is infested with modders. You cant get a single public session without one. Worst thing isnt even them literally preventing you from playing the game and continuously crashing your game, its the fact that if you play without a VPN they have access to your IP and all the other precious stuff and rockstar does nothing about it. Modders can legit get your social club ID number and follow you wherever you go. That number cant be changed even if you change your name, so if you piss one off, which believe me happens very fast with those insecure little things, theyll follow you from session to session, constantly crash your game or kill you, basically making the game unplayable. And rockstar allows this kind of behavior. Its clear they dont care about the game or their customers. Dont give them your money its seriously not worth it, especially if youre buying for the online aspect of it. You legit cannot play normally in public sessions. 10 year olds with mods simply do not allow it, and rockstar lets it pass. JUST DONT
