First, I want to start this review by staying and emphasizing, I REALLY wanted to like this game. I finished the final boss and unlocked almost everything, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything cool. The concept sounded like this game would fit into my description of a perfect game. I LOVE wizard/magic games. Think ‘Wizard of Legends’ or ‘9 Parchments’, where the focus is on the cool use of spells and how you utilize them. That's what I think of when I imagine a wizard game crafted with passion. This is not that. I don't even want to call this a wizard game! As there are very few ‘spells’, this game just consists of elemental DMG. There is very little that separates the bullets/spells from each other, besides status effects. Don't get me wrong, there are a few, like the TP bullet or the powder that summons ground below it. But the research system in this game makes it so inconvenient to unlock. The bosses were a nice change of pace, but were lacking in their AI, that almost everything could be dodged by moving in a circle around them (as long as you weren't spamming bullets).

This game could easily be saved by the developers if they had just a little more passion. Like making the bullets behave like actual spells (like a bullet that summons an ice storm, or bullets that summon electric posts that chain electricity to each other, or a bullet the creates a black hole effect where it bulls enemies in) it would also be nice if some bullets or a powder gave you the ability to detonates bullets sooner. Or maybe having a way to modify your dash (other than making it longer). For example, have a blink that has a longer CD. Or be able to replace the dash with an ice stasis ability. Maybe a dash that leaves a fire trail. Maybe replace a dash with invisibility.

IDK, this game just lacks love, maybe the modding community can add variety to the bullets/spells that wizard games need.

TLDR; Game needs actual spells. Imagine any wizard game, now replace all the spells with fireball, but with different status effects. That's this game in a nutshell.
