It's alright. Played non-steam until LW2, so hours inaccurate.

Keep in mind, EoD and SoTo expansions are not optimized properly. Everywhere else, I get 60FPS, while these tank into 40-30s. ANet has been suggesting that WvW will get updated for 5 years now and hasn't, so some fans of the mode are going mad about it. If your server is full of PvE players, you are handicapped.

Other than that, this is the only MMORPG with horizontal progression. Everyone's on the same playing level, no matter if you come back after playing the core game, the second expansion, played it all or just start with the last one. Expansions add new mechanics, mounts, masteries, but there is no gear progression. If you made a legendary item, it will be good for the rest of the game.

I am not sure why people are saying that the progression system is terrible in this. The fact that any party member can be anything, unlike FF1, gives so much freedom and it feels like a huge step forward. A healing thief? Sure. A warrior spitting firas? Sure. Bard? It's in the game.

The game is a perfect step up from FF1.

Works like ♥♥♥♥ on Steam Deck. Drops to low 30s with low settings. Doesn't look like it's demanding, but it is unoptimized. Probably has to do with Unreal Engine.

An original, gorgeous game with great attention to detail. I haven't played anything like it. It's truly an amazing, refreshing experience. Kojima never ceases to amaze his fans.
