I was really looking forward to this game. I'm a heavy Youtube/Twitter user who tried to remain spoiler free throughout the last minute PC version delay, that's fine. Sega offered codes for Sonic the Hedgehog to pre-orders for the delay but I didn't get one because I didn't pre-order through Steam, that's fine. Game finally comes out and it has Denuvo as a 'surprise'? This upsets me greatly. I can't even refund the game now and get it on a console where apparently I don't have to put up with treatment like this. Thanks for ruining the game for me Sega.

At the time Half-Life 2 came out it was a step above all other action games. Today it's still one of the most satisfying and gripping games around. It's legendary. Game of the Year All Years.

A solid, charming game about a boy navigating traps in order to reach the bottom of a gigantic tower. Mechanically the game is solid but what takes it over the top for me is the art style and the fun narrative form. There's no cutscenes or plot dumps of any kind. There's only messages on the walls behind you written from the perspective of a sadistic princess who mostly wants to see you die horribly but kinda wants to see how far you can go before you do. The game is great at what it's offering and doesn't overstay its welcome. I'll be sure to look at whatever game Stirfire Studios makes next.

In between development of Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty No. 9, Inti Creates developed this short retro throwback. The story involves a crossover with the characters Gunvolt from AZS, Beck from MN9, and Ekoro from GalGun teaming up to save...love I think, doesn't really matter. For Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter Backers or early buyers of Azure Striker Gunvolt this game was free. For everyone else $5 seems a fair price. There's 8 levels each with a Mega Man style boss fight plus a 9th final boss. Like Mega Man the bosses emphasize pattern recognition and timing your attacks to win. The controls feel as good if not better than any classic Mega Man with each character possessing a unique movement ability and charge ability. Ekoro can briefly float and convert enemies into familiars. Beck can slide and perform charge tackles on the ground or in midair. Gunvolt can double jump and fire a powerful beam not unlike Kirby's Beam power-up however you must remain still to perform it so it's mostly useless except for some hard to reach places. If you're experienced with Mega Man titles or the like then the levels themselves should be fairly easy to beat. Most enemies can be bypassed faster than fighting without taking damage. The bosses though are fairly tough in places but with patience can be mastered. Overall I'd say the game feels like a homebrew Mega Man of the highest quality and getting all the achievements are reasonable and satisfying.

This game never ends. 10/10

I emptied an entire clip into a guy's face and he killed me with two shots. 11/10

This game isn't just a step above other superhero games, Saints Row IV rubs its balls in their faces. If you're wondering, Saints Row The Third is a gang crime game where you drive around with your homies and conquer the city with superior firepower and attitude. Saints Row 4 has that but also you're a superhero where you use your Matrix powers to fight off an alien invasion. Also you're the President.

If Bioshock 1 is in the top 1% of games, Bioshock Infinite is in the top 5%. If you liked Bioshock 1 you'll like this one either a little better or a little worse. Burial At Sea is arguably better overall than this game and adds some depth in story and gameplay to Infinite's base game. If you didn't like Bioshock just skip this one, if you haven't played it then go play the original instead.

It's better than Fallout 3 and my favorite RPG to date. All the mainstream reviews complain of bugs, it's still a little rough but totally playable now. If you like exploration, post apocalypse, guns, swords, radiation, hacking, stealth, negotiating, making difficult choices, meeting new faces, blowing up new faces, radiation, getting kicked out of casinos, this game has everything except magic (and there's probably a mod for that too). This game has everything and there's mods available for everything else. Game of the decade.
