Star Wars: Outlaws Review - 8.5/10

Overall, I would recommend Star Wars: Outlaws and give it a solid 8.5/10. The concept of the game is fantastic. Even though I'm not a huge Star Wars fan and have only seen The Mandalorian series, I still found the game pretty enjoyable. The dialogues are great, and the graphics are stunning.

One area I struggle with is the reputation system. You really need to think through your actions because there’s no option to complete quests loudly. If you do, the game punishes you since it’s stealth-based. On the flip side, I like how important it is to listen to conversations carefully, as there are things you might otherwise miss that can affect your progress.

The map/world is huge—sometimes almost too big. There are long stretches with little action, and more often than not, I’m just getting attacked by bandits (most of the time, I just run away). That said, I really enjoy using Nix to help with progression. It’s a nice added feature, and I love petting him and finding food bars to keep him happy.

I'm not super into the ship fighting in space, though, mainly because it’s just not my thing (I might try it more later in the game). But the mini-games, like Sabacc and the other arcade machines, are a lot of fun and add a nice little gamble/open-world element. I did need to ask my girlfriend for help during a Sabacc tournament, though—apparently, I’m not mentally capable of winning it on my own! :D

One thing I feel could improve is adding more dialogue choices for Kay, since she’s often kind of awkward in some situations. But it does suit her character, so I’m not going to hold that against the game.

I did see a lot of reports about bugs and glitches before playing, and people were warning me about it being a bit buggy. But I’m happy to say that after 20 hours of gameplay, I didn’t encounter a single bug. We’ll see if that continues, but so far, so good.

All in all, Star Wars: Outlaws is an enjoyable experience, especially for fans of stealth, open-world exploration.. It’s definitely worth trying out!
