Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. It's one thing to have to put out 15 dollars a month plus tax just to get ESO plus, on top of this I have to put out money each year for expansions that break the game again and again. Then comes the maintenance. Every time I try and play the game it's down for maintenance. It's one thing to waste hundreds of dollars, it's another thing to waste tons of time with maintenance when the game is still as messed up as it is and has been for years.

While I'm going to play the game if I ever get the chance, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone new, it's too much money, too much time to invest, too much maintenance that never seems to fix anything and not enough positives to outweigh the negatives. If I hadn't spent so much money and time I'd leave the game for sure, but they have me by the balls so what can I do....

Greetings,

We can understand your frustration with paying for ESO Plus and chapters and being unable to play with the game in maintenance. Many of the maintenance issues have been resolved since the Blackwwod release.

ESO's maintenance schedule is posted on the Maintenance Announcement forums at https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/official-news. Most maintenance periods will last for no more than a few hours. During these times, we'll deploy patches, server optimizations, database updates, hardware upgrades, and perform other routines that keep ESO running smoothly.

When selecting server maintenance times, we try and pick periods when the game generally experiences the lowest traffic. Unfortunately, this may result in downtime for some of our players. In some rare cases, we may need to bring the servers down for emergency maintenance. While this is not something that we can control or plan for, we work hard to minimize such occurrences.

If you are unsure if the servers should be down, you can check our Service Alerts page at https://beth.games/3FISt1Q.

We hope you will share your feedback with the development team at help.elderscrollsonline.com. We are interested in hearing more of your feedback on your experience playing ESO.

Bright moons on your adventures in Tamriel!

Sincerely,
The Elder Scrolls Online Team
