if you buy this game as a standalone experience you might get disappointed as the contents length is IMO not worth 40 bucks.

a pessimist might also mention that this game looks and feels like a repackaged boneworks with mod support that they weren't able to market as a dlc, but also didnt want to release as a free update.

my expectations are (legitimately) still unfullfilled, because this game is supposed to be community driven. you can't expect vast amounts of content at day 1, but you need to take another look after some time to see if this game is worth its pricetag. ill do exactly that..

the game itself feels moderately polished as you would expect it in an early stage like this, especially in times of infinite early access its viable to output a game thats still janky in some places. And this is one of the cons for me, certain story passages i basically managed to get through not by solving the puzzle, but by "abusing" the physics engine to get to the goal. This trial n error mentality basically set in after beeing stuck in one place for too long. This is one of bonelabs flaws and biggest strengths... it sometimes leaves you in a room full of props and your creativity needs to built the solution. They do not even have more detailed textures, hints of any kind of differentiating behavior in between the props that get you to your goal and the ones that just fill the scene. Thats sometimes really frustrating and sometimes really rewarding.

So to sum everything up... Stress Level Zero advance VR mechanics and set new standards like ive not seen any other teams do. They understand that they are in the tool delivery role and need to serve the community with good building tools as the VR industry hasnt explored every concept. I think this is progressive, revolutionary work with a bright future.

PS: I'd like to see a MP mod with a server browser (lobby browser)
