Please play Slay the Princess. There are… so many things i could say about this game this… experience. I could tell you so many beautiful things, so many terrifying things, so many deep and thoughtful and complex and wonderful and unknowable and divine things about this game. I could beg and plead for you to play it in so many ways, i could tell you for days and days of my thoughts on all of it… but i wont do any such thing.
Instead, all i can say is to Plleease for the love of god play this game. It is not “too expensive”, had i known the experience i would get i would have payed over a hundred dollars. The only advice i can give is… it matters not what specifically you do, only that you do it with your entire heart.

Hi Fi Rush… it’s no wonder why this game got practically every award there is. Let’s see, it’s got an absolute killer soundtrack that the entire game is centered around. It has a unique and innovative spin on stylish action games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta by making everything tied seamlessly to the music, taking the absolute best out of it and rhythm games as a whole. It has a beautiful artstyle with a awe inspiring series of levels, with also beautiful, comic like hand drawn cutscenes occasionally sprinkled into the mix, which it also seamlessly mixed into gameplay. It has an extremely loveable set of characters with genuinely the funniest dialogue and gags i have ever heard out of any game ever to this day. And it has an extremely self aware and topical story about artistic creativity and development that so obviously mirrors the entire industry. The game runs amazing and in all my playtime has only ever crashed once, and If there is a single complaint i can even think of, it’s that Rhythm Master doesn’t make it clear enough outside of the “New Game” button that you almost certainly wont be clicking multiple times, that having your combo meter drop to a D becomes an instant kill. But, that’s the highest difficulty, and once i realized that was what killed me and not a bug like i wrongfully assumed it was for hours, it proceeded to never kill me again.
So yes, the game is practically perfect, it’s every good and fun thing you could ever ask for in a game and then some more. It’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wild that anyone could look at a game like this and not try and CLAW for a sequel.

“An Ineffable Tale of the Inexpressible Divine Moments of Truth”. One hell of a subtitle, and if you’re anything like me, no matter how optimistic you may be, you might scoff at that. Surely it can’t be that good. I’m here to tell you it is that good. This feels like a game made for a specific type of person… someone looking for “It” if you understand what i mean. Someone like me, and perhaps someone like you.

The now sister game to Cultist Simulator, Book of Hours takes the same lovable aesthetic in a gentler and easier direction for a comfortable and unique library to manage. My favorite moments in Cultist Simulator were always finding the new and mysterious books to read, no matter how incomprehensible. So needless to say i was on board immediately, and the generally easy difficulty and lack of any true setbacks made for a game i found incredibly easy to simply live in unlike any other. Each piece of furniture and every room i uncovered made the library feel more and more like a second home to me, and i hope to see myself continuing to play this for a very, very long time.

When i start any unknown game, no matter the genre, there's this tingle that goes in my mind. This vague, pleasurable pulse that always drives me to know more, or more like a wave that washes slowly, completely over me, headfirst. Some games, like Furi and Kingdom Hearts, are very good at capitalizing on this feeling and drawing you in, giving interesting questions about your world one after the other. Cultist Simulator however, and it's now sister game Book of Hours, are the only games i have ever played that completely and totally understand that tingle, the pleasure of discovery, and deliberately draw it out for as long as possible. There is always more to see, and every bit of it is gripping. And even beneath all that, is a both challenging and calming game i can recommend to absolutely anyone who simply craves an unforgettable experience.

I've played more then a few fighting games over the years. While i'm far from evo material, i can say that this may be the best fighting game I've ever played, especially if you're a casual player. The in depth tutorials made me wrap my head immediately around mechanics even the likes of Skullgirls couldn't teach me, while the easy 4 button system lets anyone be able to preform a combo of decent length with only a few hours of practice. Mastery of everything is obviously rewarded, but not to such a degree that if you don't you wont be insta killed by the touch of death combos that plague some of even the best fighters on the market like DBFZ.

If you want a fighter with a fun story, and simple, yet in depth mechanics any experienced player would love, i see no better place to go then here.
