This game is fun! Very fun, actually. If you like simple base building, upkeep, and very very simple rouge-lites, this game should be great for you. It's not a challenge unless you care about time management and keeping your cultists happy (which even then, isn't hard to undo when they get mad.)
That being said, and despite the fact that I love this game, the devs are already rolling out nerfs that impact some of the fun of the game. Which is the roguelite aspect of it. When there already isn't much to bring you back, nerfing some players fun in the part of the game you'll be spending most of your time in isn't a smart move. If this was a multiplayer game and there were leaderboards then a nerf would be understandable, but for now it's just taking away some of the fun.
Again. This game is incredibly simple, with very little replay value. I think there are more things that could be added before taking others away.

I saw this game on tiktok before launch, bought it at launch, and very much wanted to like it. I think I very quickly gave up on it.
The pixel art is amazing, the fight animations are smooth and pleasing to the eye.
Some of the art is amazing- but it just feels so flat. Characters don't fill up enough of the screen and the level up screen just felt lazily added in.
Some of the dialogue felt iffy at best, rushed at worst.
The ui, especially between battles just felt uncomfortable and ugly, and the loading times were awful (though I'm sure that's been fixed.)
This game though- isn't bad. this would absolutely be a neutral review, and I still want to love this game but i really just can't. This is a well made game with a lot of love put into it. I just can't find myself to enjoy it.
