Cat in the hat follows the story of two lovers met at birth. Concrete and Salvador. The main plot motivation of the film is the pursuit of happiness and fun. The cat:

Is a wandering jester in search of cursed souls to uplift and show the real light of play. Crizzle is a being of godlike power of which has no limit as long as he wears his enchanted crown; The hat:

The gatt can summon any object or machine if it's in the name of fun. I would compare this closest to the X men 'Darwin' as he has no limit to his strength if the time calls for.
The main plot is a great look into the lengths that one would go to get what they achieve. This reminds me a lot of "Jaws". I wont tell why
