There are many comments here complaining about the game's length, however 21 years have passed since the release of the original RE3 people have forgotten the original's length.

It was 6.5 hours, with the Remake being 6. However how is it only half a hour shorter when so many people complain about all those cut areas ? Did those take like 30 minutes to complete ? The answer is that the same people who complain about X/Y being cut are not expanding on the fact that other areas of the game were expanded, hence why the length is similar.

Now regarding its comparison to RE2R its funny. Not only the game is way smoother (dodging/faster running speed/looting doesn't pop up a message box everytime you loot an item you have already looted) but its harder too. Nemesis actually chases you and is a threat, unlike Mr.X in RE2R where he was just following you around and you could even outrun him by walking (!) which has been shown on Youtube if you search.

Even a Casual could run away from Mr.X since your running speed was always more than his, especially with Claire if she was on Caution. Also they removed the abusable Knives from RE2R where with a single knife most of the times you could kill a Boss just by having +60 FPS (PC exclusive) because its physics scaled with FPS. While it was cool it killed the game's variety, you barely had to use Ammo or follow the boss mechanics.

Now is it perfect ? No, definitely not it has some areas where it could improve e.g. it rarely crashes on my PC on alt-tab. It lacks Mercenaries mode which the Original had but they included a Multiplayer mode (Resistance) for which i don't care and most people share the same opinion i believe.

Would i recommend this game ? For sure. You can easily get +15 hours out of it by completing the game + its additional difficulties (Nightmare/Inferno which shakes up the loot locations and enemies) and by hunting the Records which give you points and you can buy Costumes/Infinite Weapons (similar to the old Mercenaries in a way)

It used to be fast and fun before the 30 March Patch , now its meh. They tried to improve it with a hotfix on 1st April but its still sh!t since they didn't even revent half of the slow pace ZZZZZ changes.

Not to mention the fact that do you should no expect half of your attacks/shoves/blocks to work since , they won't. Networking bugs and stuff like that.

Spears are broken specifically Trident on Cyclops drop , armor is useless because of Spears but strong if you try to shred it with anything less , unjustified nerfs to already nerfed or weak airdrops...

I don't even know if they are playing their game at this point. Even on Vanilla it was way better and funnier/entertaining even if it had more bugs/worse textures.

Cheap , tactical , fun. Easy to access but has depth.
