All Told I'd call this a waste of time. It not with out any value but I have to assume its score is inflated by the novelty of the culture/setting.
I don't care for any of the characters especially, actively dislike a few including the MC who's emotionally incontinent and dull.
Its like a dream that though structured. it'd be a mistake to ascribe meaning to.

I feel like I should have more to say even if its largely nit picky, but I am hard pressed to come up with any thing to say about this so I suppose the best summary of my feelings is under whelming.

They're quite attractive, there's two endings (one for each character), and its largely pleasant fluff with a climatic fight at the end where in every one fights fights a Wolf/Gorilla for right to lead the pack *Shrug*. If you want some light feel good fluff with some fine "art" go for it. If you want a larger draw than that, its not there.

Recommended at sale price.
My thoughts with some semblance of order.

Its H "scenes" are just to inform the narrative, functional in that sense and little else. If that's what you're here for look else where.

One H Scenes kinda strikes me out of left field as if they had a quota so decided to just insert it there (LOL), seeming out of context and character to me, in what otherwise has fine if usually casual set ups.

There are 10 endings though 4 of them are bad and 2/4 those are generic you died bad, another he winds up a slave for terribly bad judgement, and lastly and most interestingly to me.

The main character having finished his quest with out the connections or motive to farther in life after the fact, lives a down and out life as an alcoholic, dependent on the good will of his child hood friend who held a torch for him before and during this. One day while whispering sweet nothings to his alcohol she comes to visit and confronts him on how he got to this state and than rapes him. I could see this being particularly edgy, out of left field, or cast favorably in another story, but here its none of those things and feels oddly appropriate for the characters seen til this point.

The remaining are 5 different flavors of marriage and one where he actually functions solo without losing sobriety.

Getting each ending when they share 90% of scenes is a chore to be sure, but expected with this medium.

For what it is I enjoyed it. Enough is well executed for a decent highlight reel, but know what you're getting.

I'm not really sure where to begin so I'll just get on with it.

English translation is rough to be sure, typos, hard to follow scenes, mixed up pronouns, directions, and to top it off commonly crashes from bad text files in scenes.

Mechanics are RPG Maker. I didn't get far enough in to say any thing more to its merit than that its good insofar as RPG Maker is generally bad.

I had a graphical glitch where in a characters portrait stayed overlaid on the screen after conversation and it stayed after relaunching. Presumably caused because I had the option to skip back to a location or walk and I chose walk to get some loot.

The H content I found generally pretty distasteful since I'm not particurly sadistic and certainly not against genuine damn hero's, and saints.

Even gotten on sale as I did; as an english speaker I'd pass it up.

I mean its ♥♥♥♥, but its good ♥♥♥♥...kinda.

Now that the games all sorted and its got a stable mod platform I recommend it if like me you're not one for the "looter" part of this shooter.
Many of my frustrations with the game like leveling, farming, gun play, and the constant commute from A to B, can be shored up with mods and self balancing.
The game starts a bit rough, but picks up quite well in the 3rd act on. The DLC's can be hit and miss but the humor doesn't falter and its considerably more tolerable to play through the rougher portions when you can just expedite or skip them.
I find a fair bit of the balance/design disagreeable; raid bosses especially seem design'd not only around 4 players, but around meta options that might not be fun to play but yield results that simply aren't possible to achieve with other load outs.
This feedback is of course is from my taste. Might be you're the sort who loves farming items, and don't mind some questionable mechanics/designs if they can be overcome with bigger numbers. For my part though the Handsome Collection, with its half decade of content now made stable and the resulting modding community, is what I've been waiting for.

4/5, 8/10, 23/30, what ever. Its the best in its genre, a solid entertaining game-with perhaps some pitfalls, that can now be better navigated.

Is completely incompatible with high contrast themes.

Looking to add some flavor to desk-top, not go back to the dark(light) ages
